I've recently learned that over the past couple weeks, someone I work with during the week has been severely hurt, emotionally, by what I've been doing.
It's hit me hard, as this person is an extremely important person to me. I had no clue what I had done until I was pulled aside by 3 different adults, who set me straight.

I went merrily strolling to the mailbox today to meet Mr. Mailman as he drove up. He's a wonderful guy - he helps my dad out fixing his car, and he knows I and my siblings love Lego. ^^

Answered the phone. A lot. Followed a little non-English-speaking girl (about 3 or 4 years old), who was having a jolly good time taking butterfly stickers and flinging them into the air. My time was spent peeling these stickers off the floor, shelves, merchandise, etc. I never did find her parents. Got to remind a person that, no, we no longer carry the Bohrok sets. They were rather upset. Got to meet a Lego employee who stocks our shelves once a week. She was very nice. ^____^ Heard Bakuga

In Time Trap, after Vakama fixes the Mask of Time and does his little aside thing, it says he 'wrenches the mask free' from where it was stuck.
That kinda got me thinking...

Well, VBS went pretty smoothly again this morning. We had some problems with kids quarreling around 11 or so (we have Rec acd Snackage last, and most kids tend to get cranky if they're hungry), but other than that, it went well.
Tomorrow will be awesome. It's big-dramatic-drama-day-where-something-bad-happens. Dundundun!!!!! 8O

The reaction to the drama today was hilarious. One of the 'mean teens' that happens to be my blondie-brained friend in the play gets stung at the very end, and she's deathly allergic. Five minutes after the lights go down on the stage,

Ah, VBS. That awesome time of insanity and excitement that drains all the adult and youth workers who participate in it.
But hey, it went well for its first day. We have around 230 kids enrolled so far, with more coming tomorrow. To save time and frustration, we had to merge the Worship/Teach-the-songs-and-motions section with the Opening, and it worked fairly well, as the motions this year are much easier to remember.
