*gasp*

I was just barely able to enter! (from my perspective, that is). Normally I'm not a push-it-to-the-limits kind of guy. But then BZPower's server had to go and get busy on me... Anyway, here's my entry!     Yay for mini tanks! I hope to get the topic up sometime tomorrow. Sheesh I didn't have much time for these guys; only two days! Well, I'm satisfied with the result at any rate. The tanks are quite compact and all of the connection points for the liftarms within them are put together in s

*gasp* 2nd Place Yay!

Whoopdy-do and all that good stuff for placing 2nd! Yay! My, I had absolutely no expectations to make it as far as I did in BBCC #56; I am pleasantly surprised. Thanks everyone who voted for me!   Also, I'm not a bit surprised at the results; I knew that 55555's motorcycle was going to win the first time I saw it, not to mention I feel that he deserved it.   lol, I'm glad to have gotten the place I did; in all of the past contests when I've placed in the finals, I've gotten 5th! (I was

Mocist Duels Challenge

Greetings all! Here we have the challenge for the MoCist Duels Contest!   Draco and Arpy, I present to you your MoCing challenge. I need to remind you that there is only going to be one challenge, as opposed to last time, when there were three "rounds". This time, there will be only one.   Also, as a quick note, from now on, there will always be three sections to a challenge; the color, pieces, and theme.   Here are the criteria for your MoC: ------------------------------------------------

I Can Has Windows? Also Tech Help!

I guess I can has!   Well, I'm a avid Mac user, but there comes a time when one would like to have your old PC games to play all portable-like on your laptop, so I went and downloaded Windows XP onto my Mac using Boot Camp (yes, you can do that; nifty, huh?). The copy of XP is the one my family has downloaded on our iMac downstairs in the school-room (I home-school, for you people who haven't read my Bio content block), and we rarely ever use it.   Anywhoo, I attempted to install and play se

Up

Well, I meant to blog about this last night, but forgot (it was late anyway).   My family and I went to see Pixar's UP last evening with some friends of ours. The movie was extremely unique, creative, fun, and I really enjoyed it quite a bit! Definitely worth going to see and even owning if you enjoy good quality plots and animated comedies that are family friendly. There were very few characters, but I never found myself getting bored with them. They were all so different, but Pixar did an ama

How did I do in what I chose, and the quantities thereof? How about the price (for those of you experienced in

Well... Howdy!

Great sunspots! The forums have returned! I was beginning to think the beast that is the forums had died... But I guess the all powerful staffies came along and revived it! Thanks guys!   Now, in my time away I have had a birthday. My 17th in fact. As a result, I got a bunch of money, and as a result of that I placed my largest parts order (or combination of orders) yet: $50+, 400+ pieces. I've received one of them, but the other two are still in the process of shipping. I made sure to buy p

Notice Anything Strange?...

Yeeaaaah.... It says that there are 96 total votes, but the votes only add up to 31!   You see, after Smeagol4 re-opened the polls the other day, I noticed that all of the votes in my poll had been deleted. I have no idea why, but this didn't happen with the other polls. Strange, no? I'm still winning, so I'm not upset about my standings in the contest, but I am annoyed for the sake of the other entrants; Ballom was in the process of catching up with 16 votes (I had 22). I guess it can't be

Whoops...

Ok, so I just got reprimanded several times over in the polls for calling some of the other MoCs rip-offs. This was not the best or nicest of behavior and thus once I had this pointed out to me I apologized and edited my posts. I just wasn't thinking properly when I posted. Live and learn my friends, live and learn.   What I find ironic is the fact that in the past I have defended other MoCists for creating what appears to be a copy of some technique or MoC of another MoCist based on this pri

Wad Pic!

Now in case you are wondering what a WAD pic is, it stands for "Work Almost Done", as opposed to a WIP: "Work In Progress". Anyway, here it is:     This is my first 100% custom torso, and I've gotta say, I like it lots!   It still needs a few tweaks, but it's pretty much done. Oh, and I need a name too... got any suggestions?   ~GBG~

Back Home At Last! (and Other Random Stuffz)

Well, I'm home from DC! *waves frantically*   Yep, it was a very tiring week, but totally worth it. Here are some highlights:   - The museums. We visited many of the Smithsonians (yes, it's plural), and while I enjoyed some more than others, they were all very interesting. One thing which was very fun was we went to see Night at the Museum 2 at the IMAX theater at the Museum of Natural History! At first, I wasn't so sure of how the movie would be. However, at the end, I really wanted to see

Bbc-cc: Updated

The Bionicle Based Creations Critics Club has recently been updated and edited. Toa Velox and I collaborated on how best to do this, and we have made several major changes:   - Removed critic screening; in other words, anyone can join! - Added critic ranks. This (basically) is a way to encourage our critics to write better and better reviews. A critic will give a review, link to it in the "Critics" entry, and then the Curators will rate the review according to the quality of it in relation t

Like My Av?

Do you find it amusing? Stupid? Clever? Overly-Not-Green? lol, it's from the movie Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. He's the main little kid, Eric. This face is classic, and cracks me up! Not to mention that I really like that movie...   Also*Gasp*POLL!!   That is all.   GBG

*is Busy*

Very, very, busy.   Two things: School, and my non-profit "Dollar for a Drink" are taking up all of my time. I built a bit with LEGO last weekend (I think.....) and it's coming fine. I don't think I'll have anything built ANY time soon though. School is going great; I'm really enjoying Greek especially.   Meh, I haven't blogged in so long, I don't know what to say. I haven't really been keeping up with BZP much this past week. Sure, I've seen the BrickFair coverage, as well as the fact that BB

Tie Breaker Challenge

Ok peoples, due to the fact that our Duelists are tied for the Champion status, I have decided to do a mini tie-breaker challenge. Duelists, your mini challenge is this: You must build a MoC that uses no more than 20 pieces. You can build whatever you like, just don't go over that limit. Pegs/bushings/axles do not count into the number limit.   You now have until Sunday evening to send in your MoC, but the sooner the better. The actual voting shall last for one day (Monday).   So, get MoCi

Wip Pics!

Well guys, here is my BBCC #53 WIP pic:     Heh, as is evident by now, I will not be entering. Ah well.   See the gallery for more shots of him (they are at the bottom below Certavus)   Please post any thoughts you have on him!   Also, I just need like 2 more votes in the Final Final Certavus Poll to place fourth!   ~GBG~

The member selection poll for the MoCist Duels contest is now up! Our contestants are:   Arpy Dr. Keerahk Darth Vader Bundalings the Bunny Roa McToa ToM Dracone What?   I decided to go ahead and post the poll, even though the deadline is not until tonight, due to the fact that I believe that everyone has entered that wanted to, and so... yeah, I posted up the poll. If someone wants to enter last minute, then that's fine.   I further descided to place What? on the list even though he did

Lego Store Purchase...

Set #4993: Cool Convertible Pieces: 648     Yep, that's right; it's not technic! Heh, I haven't purchased a system set in years. The reason for my purchase of this set was due to an upcoming project that I'm wanting to work on which involves the colors of purple and white. Obviously, this set was for the latter color requirement. It was really interesting; I found myself walking around the ubber-cool LEGO store looking for sets based on content and pieces as opposed to theme for the first tim

Bbcc #54...

Yar, take that you system lover people!   Wait... I was just starting to use system in earnest! *facepalm* Oh, the irony!   Well... due to the fact that I will be gone right up until a few days before the deadline, I'm unsure if I will be able to enter. (though I will try, oh yes!) I'm gonna have to place a larger-ish order from you-know-where in the next few days... Oh, and there will be no green present!   Regardless of whether I can enter or not, I will be very intrigued to see what s
