It's bizarre of me to resurrect this dinosaur of a blog, but even more bizarre that I don't actually remember acquiring lifetime premier membership. I don't even remember how I got the membership. It's interesting. In light of all the new, honorary blogs popping up, I realize that I thought I would be among them. But it turns out that my membership was longer than I suspected. Or remember.
I'm losing it.

I haven't blogged in ages, most likely because of my decreased involvement on BZP, but I have observed the fiasco of Bionicle's ending with a mixture of amusement and frustration.
I am very glad that my interest waned in 2009 and that Bionicle ended as I left it. Had it ended while in the prime of my interest, I would have been as angry and disappointed as many of the people on this board. Now looking with a little less biased perspective, I can say that Bionicle's ending was not the worst d
Wow, REALLY long time no blog... it's a shame, I've kind of lost a bit of interest in BZP....
Ah well. I only just now learned about the forum fiasco. Ouch.
And one more thing:
The Onion videos are hilarious. Goodbye.

Long time no blog...
Here's the situation folks. There are roughly two types of people: those who like set-realism and those who like organic-types (animation).
When we had the past three Bionicle movies, the set-realists got vocal with their complaining.
When we now get set-realism, the organic-type people get vocal.
BZPower isn't always complaining as a whole. It's just divided.

No, not really.
But we did get snow today, which is awesome, considering the time of year and our position on the globe (North Carolina). And this way, no school and a chance to see the inauguration.

The inner bevel was added. Try not to go hunting for this font online. The winner gets a sense of self-confidence and satisfaction.
Perhaps this could be a weekly thing.

The school has control over our laptops and blocks things they don't want us to see... which usually doesn't affect me, but can still be unbelievably annoying. For instance, anything "Uncategorized" is blocked, resulting in tons and tons of smaller, personal sites being blocked.
But apparently some image hosting site is blocked because about 50% of all images posted on BZP won't come up. Linked images to this site result in "blockpage". This is extremely annoying to an unspeakable degree beca
So I'm waking up tomorrow at 5 AM, so I have to go to sleep a little early tonight... which is a great way to bring in the new year. >_> I'll be skiing tomorrow though, so I guess it's good. Still, I wish I could see the ball drop and the Rose Parade... oh well.
Did you hear 2008 is a second longer than normal years? It's a "leap second".
Happy New Year's Eve!

Why do we never see (in Artwork 1) any pics of moments from the Bionicle story? You know, like book illustrations? It seems there's always just portraits, and if the artist is particularly bold, maybe a simple background. Rarely have I seen a drawing with a character interacting with its environment or acting out a part of the story, setting in all. Is everyone too lazy to draw a background?
I intend to change this.
So the Bionicle Time Capsule contest... I want to make a video, but need some clips. Does anyone know a good source for Bionicle videos (CG, movies, etc.) that could be used? Anything is welcome.

"Gas Tax" Law -- Bessemmer City, NC
The government is trying to pass a law that will allow them to tax farmers for how much methane their cows release, in farts and in manure.
So... you're making people pay for how much their animals fart? It's like being taxed for... breathing.
Wut?
-Dr. K
Yes, the Bara Magna pic was faked. The background was made on Terragen.
Yes, The Venus pic was fake. Green lake from Africa --> Venus.
Yes, the Nexensis (which was only used because it was a cool teaser, even though the Mocs are cool) was a dunkaroll.
My shenanigans are over.

"A recent satellite image of the surface of Venus has revealed a shocking discovery -- what appears to be vegetation on the arid planet's surface. The image, part of a collective database of Venus images taken in 2007 by the satellite Charger, has astronomers dumbfounded.
"If this really is vegetation," says Chris Tolmin, head of the NASA Satellite Imagery Division, "then this would challenge us to rethink what we thought we know about Venus and further investigate."
Venus, the sec
Did you hear the one about the giant sea monster octopus?
It'll have you kraken up! D'OH!
I have two full pages of these things that I made up last year if you want any more.

Really, how did they start? It's such a random idea... make tiny little pixelated characters in kits where you move their arms and legs to the body and then paste them in a panels to make a comic... I'm not bashing them, but it just seems so... random.
Care to enlighten me? I think I might know, but... I dunno.
