First of all, this bit of genius courtesy of Avohkah Tamer featuring Sumiki and Lady Kopaka has be shared again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omT4z6xDL0Q Next, shoutouts to Trisha, Pat, Maddison, Andrew, Ben, Susannah, Vance, Christie, Corvin, Jess, Jamieson, David, Nate, Thomas, Pablo, Scott, Andrew, Yanni, Danny and more people that I'm trying desperately not to leave out but probably failing. You are all so wonderful. One of the greatest things to happen during BrickFair: Sumiki call
So today I was fiddling around with this little ship that I made a while ago. It's quite a complex build, and the changes I was making (mainly smoothing out the colour scheme) required that I take almost the entire front two thirds apart. After I was done, I realized I couldn't remember how to put it back together. So now I have to rebuild more than the whole front half from scratch.
And to add to that I have homework to do.

I attended BrickFair for the second time a couple weeks ago, the first having been back in 2015. One of the things I remember most from that year was the heat and humidity. This time, believe it or not, east coast August weather was a welcome relief after spending June and July in the south of France.
I was extremely limited in luggage space, but picked up these goodies from the vendors:
And acquired these Kraata prototypes from a BZP member in a trade we planned in advance:
I was in Seattle for three days, so now I'm back.
Yeah, I went with my school band. We did three concerts. I'm amazed I got any sleep at all, because the first night we were all really hyper (me and the other three people I was rooming with) and the second night the other three were watching TV while I was trying to go the sleep. Then we had to wake up at like 6:45, shower, and rush downstairs for breakfast.
We also got a bunch of free time, where we were allowed to wander around Seattle i
Okay, so basically our new and shiny Mac died and has to fixed. We won't get it back until Thursday. Right now I'm on our old PC, but unstable as it is I probably won't be able to get on BZP much for the next few days.
Kthnxbai.

You know the forums are slow when the third hot topic has twelve posts in the last day and is in NMQ&A.
Speaking of BZP, listening to Achilles' Last Stand by Led Zeppelin for an entire day is fun.

Yesterday we got to choose our three electives for next year. Here's what I'm taking:
Math
Science
English
Social Studies
French
Auto Mechanics/Power Technology
Band
P.E.
The first five are all probably enriched, but I'm not positive I'll get into the advanced program. It's likely, though. Also most of my friends are in the advanced program.
Should be a fun year.

Back - Without flightpack - Flightpack
Just a little something I cobbled together. Supposed be a revamp of a previous MOC, which was originally an experiment using a Kakama as a chestplate, but then it turned out as something completely different. Still looking for one more dark orange Kakama, as you can see.

Well, I bought it a month ago, but seeing as I wasn't premier a month ago, I wasn't able to post it at the time. Here's a horrible picture of it.
So for those of you who speak Flutian: it's a Trevor James Cantabile, sterling silver headjoint, triple-plated body and keys, open-holed, B-foot, Offset G, non-split E.

Deal with it.
Okay?

Edit: Someone just bumped my blog rating down by .1.
I think it was Arpy. Nevermind. Arpy's losing again. Not that this is a competition. The war begins now.
NASA has scheduled a press conference for tomorrow morning at 9:00am PDT, and you should all watch it. The announcement has to do with a new Kepler discovery. Kepler is a space telescope that is responsible for finding over a thousand confirmed extrasolar planets, or planets orbiting other stars. The new findings will very likely be the most Earth-like planet found to date. The press conference can be watched live here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/9407922 Best-case scenario? Kepler has f
That was slightly underwhelming, but cool nonetheless. The new Kepler discovery was exactly what I and most others expected it to be - the most habitable exoplanet found to date, but with no signs of life. The planet, Kepler-452b, is the only planet found so far in the Kepler-452 system, 1400 light years from Earth. It was discovered using the transit method, where the apparent brightness of a distant star decreases slightly (usually by about one part in 10,000) when an orbiting planet passe
Mostly because of all the stuff I hauled out of my locker today.
School was officially over for the year at 3:05 p.m.
Oh wait, we still have exams. Darn. And my first exam (English) is at 10:00 in the morning tomorrow. Hm.
