Firstly, watched the new MLP today during breakfast. I liked it - so nice to have some more Fluttershy. And holy carp Derpy spoke! Her voice wasn't what I imagined, but the whole sequence made me chuckle. Also nice to have Applejack in the spotlight again. Secondly, I finished Inheritance. After all the whining I've heard about the ending, I really was pleasantly disappointed (I just made up a new emotion) to read that it really wasn't that bad. Sure there was a lot kinda' tacked on at the end

I have Iron Maiden's entire discography, but I've only really listened to four albums so far (Number Of The Beast, Powerslave, Seventh Son, and The Final Frontier). So today I figured I'd give another one a shot, and picked Piece Of Mind, their fourth album. I think it is now one of my favourite albums ever.
Has been very eventful. I finished building my two new Trek models already (will post pics) and they are glorious, got in a carpload of mail, and got two replies for singer/drummer auditions in my band. Biggest of these though is that we have a new international student, from Germany this time. So far he seems like a really cool kid, and I think it'll be good having him around. We just had the most amazing thunderstorm I've ever experienced, with literal house-shaking thunder. Was intense and amazing. Turns out downtown's flooded and cars are floating around, plus my mom took some pics of the manholes-turned-geysers along the streets. Our house is totally unaffected, thankfully. My mom's not looking forward to all the property damage claims she'll have to deal with at work tomorrow, though.
I drove down to walmart and then downtown today for fun and so my mom could pick up some food, and I bought some stuff: Breez 2.0 Smashing Pumpkin's Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness A copy of Th1rt3en for my friend's birthday Writeable CDs so yeah Breez is cool. Finally got some lime HF. Smashing Pumpkins album ranges from complete ###### to decently good. It was only $3 anyway, so IMO it was worth it. Could have been worse lol. Things about my day: -Listened to Volbeat ALL DAY -Played more international Monopoly, against two Chileans and a Chinaman. The Chile girl won this time. > -Downloaded copies of Death Angel's cover of "Creeping Death", and Flotsam & Jetsam's "Damage, Inc." Both are awesome. -currently re-styling Rarity's hair with elastics, because it only half worked last night. All in all, a nice, relaxing (yet fulfilling) weekend. So for a few months now me and my good friend Iro (Swindle atm on BZP) have been planning a get-together IRL. He was taking a bus up to Canada to my town and we'd chill and do fun stuff and throw snowballs and yeah. Everything's going good until the night he's supposed to get on the bus; his wallet got stolen with all of his ID, money, and the bus ticket. So now I have two weeks off work that I have nothing to do with and he's lost all his stuff. Thanks, universe.
So my good friend Iro (Sir Soundwave) and I had a trade going on: I buy him Dream Theater's Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory, and he gives me six masks - Blue Miru, silver Miru, Akaku, and Pakari, white Kakama, and a sparkly Avohkii. So I went to the late showing for this movie last night, hoping it to be great. I mean, anything with Downey in it has to be amazing, right? Right indeed. The Avengers was one of the best movies I've seen since the new Star Trek. The comedy was delivered at exactly the right times, all the actors were perfectly in character, and pretty much nothing was overdone. I was never a fan of The Hulk or Captain America, but this movie made me love both and want to watch their respective movies. And Lok
