A Few Thoughts On Elitism

It's the main reason why I don't want to be associated with any group. Because I'm against elitism. Yes, this sounds pathetic. And superficial. Help!

Depressing day

And it's all my fault as well. Yay.   And to make sure this doesn't turn into vagueblogging, a small explanation:   I totally underestimated the amount of time, work, and additional research that would be needed for one of the exercise courses, thus have been able to solve only a single problem out of 9, I have no idea about the rest, am confused and stressed and just a -tiny- bit down. And of course the exercise course is tomorrow. Why wouldn't it be.   I'll do better next week. I have to.   On

Let's Have A Little Talk

About blogging. Or blogs. Or commenting on blogs. Before you ask, no, it's not because my blog has about 2 comments at average, one of them being from me. Well, maybe it is. coming up with witty replies is ALWAYS hard, no matter whether in real life or, let's say, a text-based RPG. Even though the latter grants you so much more time for thinking...   *sigh*   The other thing is fairly annoying. Last night I didn't only just sleep very unwell, I once again dreamed about maths. In a fantasy setting. Which means, my mind set up a FORMULA to calculate DRAGONS. Which of course made no sense. And didn't really help with my sleep troubles, either. ><

Quantum Optics

I'm currently attending a lab course/practicum about Quantum Optics... which is fun, adjusting lasers and stuff. I'm also quite happy with my two lab partners, they're really nice. The only downside is that I'm at uni from 9:00 to 17:00, which takes up a lot of the day if you include the two hours of travelling there and back again.

4 quick tips for creating a comic series

Having attempted to run at least 2, and now getting back to keeping up with a third comic series, here's a small collection of things I find particularly helpful, useful, and should really stick to more often myself. Wow.

So today I bought a game that's kind of a re-release of an old game from 1992... and it'S confusing. But fun. The pixel grafics are totally worth it, though. x3   It's called Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny, if anyone's interested. ^^   And yes, I have a thing for old pc games.

I spent the past 4 days (including today) working on a presentation for that Scientific Publishing course... dang, that's more work than I thought it'd be. first summer without fairies

Normally there are seasonally recurring themes in my art. One of them is that in summer, more fairies turn up. Not this summer. Coincidentally it's also the first time I didn't have a large summer break. I guess these are connected somehow, because Fall's Vampires showed up pretty much on time. ^^'   Art-wise, things are looking up. Coloured pencils can be used again! Plus ove rthe past two months I improved my 'posture' while drawing, i.e., the way I hold the pencil, and it's all less cramped.

How Different The Strategies Are...

It's quite funny, I always enjoy watching my sis play RPGs; not at last because our strategies couldn't be more different. I mean, I'm more the bow-and-arrow/distance fighter (or magic. Magic is awesome =P), and she's totally the combat type. Or rather, the "Imma run in and hit anything that moves with my sword". Apparently, I am bad at predicting the future*

Especially regarding exams at university. When I am convinced I fail, I actually do -just- pass them. When I feel that I actually did better this time, I still -just- pass them. :/   Yeah, passed is passed and stuff, but it's annoying, particularly if I had believed that I'd understood most of it. Then again, math is evil. In a fascinating, diabolical way. :3     *So no part-time job as a fortune teller for me. Awww.
