Whoo!

I found out this morning that I'm not going to my dad's this weekend, which means that I can extend my personal deadline for Black Six to tonight!   I also finally posted my entry for bonesiii's Bohrok Kool contest this morning. Around three hours after posting it, I went back to check on it and saw that it had SIX comments. For me, that's a lot.   In other news, I just came back from my cousin Kay's sixth birthday party. There wasn't much for me to do except sing happy birthday and eat, but i

Today I Saw...

...what is possibly the largest non-prehistoric moth on the planet. This thing was massive. It had a four- or five-inch wingspan and was fluttering around my uncle's outside lamp when we dropped off my cousin at her house after VBS. I took some pictures of it with my DSi, I'll upload those as soon as I can borrow my sister's SD card.

E-mail Blog Entry 7/21/09

Realizing that BZP could be offline for a great deal of time, I have decided to begin blogging by sending myself e-mails containing blog entries. These e-mails, once BZPower is back online, will be posted on my blog as entries.   And my, did I pick an excellent time to begin blogging this way. First you must know that my father is originally from India, but has extended family all over the world, including (but not limited to) London, Dubai, and America. Well, yesterday at approximately five o'

'cause We're Watchin'...and Waitin'...and Watchin'...and Waitin'...

Props to anyone who gets the reference.   I'm sitting here, waiting for the driver for our printer to finish downloading onto my laptop. We can't find the installation disc, so...   In other news, people popped onto my IM at various points while I was working on Ding's card (his birthday's today), and each time I told someone I was working, they had the same response (names are changed to aliases; Abstract Reader and gurdane2000@yahoo.com are me):     (Over AIM) Abstract Reader 2:56 pm

Late Entry

DATE LOG: 01.07.09 at 1100 Hours  Initiating standard conversation module...   ...module initiated.   --------------------   I suppose this still counts as a morning entry, since it's still before noon. I didn't get to post at my usual time because I was running a bit late. This often happens on Thursday mornings. You see, when my sister is at GA's with her friend, she doesn't get home until around 9:00 p.m., which is when we usually go to bed. So on Wednesday nights, I usually end up in bed

Interesting

I had a friend in elementary school. She moved away when we were in fourth grade. It's been five years. Yesterday, her mother visited mine. After living in Oregon, California, and Nebraska, they've finally returned to Florida.   Hopefully we'll meet soon; I was at my dad's house during the visit and learned about it this morning.

Sorry.

Sorry to all that came here via the link from my Member Interview.   I know my blog isn't very exciting.   I'm thinking about picking it back up again.   If you agree (or disagree) that I should, go ahead and leave a comment in this entry.

One Down

Black Six is officially finished. Sadly, I have no pictures for you yet - I plan to get those in the half-hour of daylight I have left over here. But he's done, which is a huge relief. I'll actually be able to get in bed on time tonight, and with my homework done to boot!   YES!

E-mail Blog Entry 7/31/09

This is the first time I've made a second entry in the same day while using the e-mail blogging system, but I thought that this merited another entry. I just got back to my mom's house and Pahrak-Kal. I just tried transforming him for the first time, and the results were...mixed. On one hand, he transforms! Woo. The first time he has transformed as a cohesive piece. On the other hand, he needs some serious improvements. The three major improvements that need to be made to the transforming proces

So.

Now that I have my own laptop (and, by extension, any-time access to the Internet), I think I'm going to pick my blog back up again. I suppose the best place to start would be with the laptop itself. Yesterday around four-thirty, I headed over to Best Buy with my mom and sister. We were initially going to buy me a wireless mouse. It was an early Christmas gift from my dad. Normally he would have waited until I had something to use it with, but the mouse I wanted, usually $50, was on Black Friday

Kaiapu's Done

Now I have under 24 hours to sleep, attend school, do my homework, learn to use GIMP (Photoshop being inexplicably unavailable), take pictures of Kaiapu, and pull together some kind of entry picture to enter.   Also The Legend Reborn comes out tomorrow.   Oi.

Check Out This Epic

It's epic.   Also, did you know that if you tack '&hl=[insert word here]' onto the end of the URL of one of BZP's topics, it will highlight the given word? Try it out next time you browse a topic. Just type '&hl=[word goes here]' onto the end of the URL in your address bar and hit enter. For example, if you clicked the above link, you were sent to this address:   http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=302010   If you type '&hl=forty' onto the end, like so...   http://

Note On Revenge Of The Fallen

This is a message for all those out there that think Gali Mata's hooks are useless as weapons: Watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, particularly the scene in which Optimus proceeds to destroy a trio of Decepticons with hooks where his hands should be.

It's Been A While

It's been quite a while since I last blogged, but between school, all of the BBC contests going on, and other activities (like going to Disney's Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios on Monday with Queen), I haven't found much time to blog. However, I woke up early enough today to get ready and still blog.   The most important thing right now is the BBC contests. I've already got the Bandersnatch neatly entered, but I still have work to do for the other two running right now (go down a few entri

Contest Results

The winner was Kelly Park. I'm disappointed that it wasn't Typhoon Lagoon, but I'm not complaining too much; Kelly Park seems like a really cool place.   The next theme is to pick the coolest place or activity that begins with Q, X, or Z. If anyone has any ideas for this, shoot them my way.

E-mail Blog Entry 8/14/09

Shortly after Ding left, my brother invited another friend of mine (well, actually, he was originally my friend but is now more my brother's friend). His alias shall be Cheese, based off his name as with all other aliases here.   ...   That's all for now, I guess.

Mornin'

Mornin', everyone. Not much going on today. My uncle's paying me a visit this afternoon to 'punch out' my room. For those that don't know, that's construction slang for 'add finishing touches to.' You see, I live in my mom's garage. No, seriously. Two years ago (roughly), my uncle built a simple room in the garage, and I moved into it. So, my uncle's coming over today to do some painting, caulking, and possibly wooden flooring. This process will probably last until the end of the week.   So unt

Member Spotlight

I'd like to pick up my blog again sometime soon. This will likely happen once I get my laptop, which I will have by Christmas, under sworn oath.   In other news, the reason I'm posting an entry today: check out the member spotlight. Brickshelf and Majhost are currently out of comission, so I can't load a picture. Would someone help me out? I have the photo; just nowhere to put it.

Belated Connection

I just realized a possible reason that not one, not two, but THREE BBC contests end on September 15th: The Legend Reborn comes out that day.   Up until now, I had just been frustrated with them all ending on the same day. Now I (sort of) get it.

New Desktop

I got bored Friday night and decided to make myself a cool new wallpaper. So I thought I'd post it here:   Link.   The name on the weather gadget is edited out for obvious reasons.

The Movie...

...could have been better, but it also could have been worse. It seemed to focus a bit overmuch on inter-character romantic relationships, but I suppose they needed something to fill the movie with. The fact is, this movie was basically just a transition between years five and seven - between Harry fighting Voldemort indirectly and him really becoming a serious player in the war.   That's my take on it, anyway.

Whew!

I just walked about 40 minutes (roughly two miles) to my grandmother's house carrying a pair of pants for her to fix, then rode a bike at her house back home.   The current temperature in my area is 90 degrees Fahrenheit.   If I measured in feet the amount of sidewalk between my house and my grandmother's, I would not get a three-digit result.   ...   Now excuse me while I don't move for awhile.
