I don't know if any readers of my blog (if there are any) have seen my MoC Scimita, but I disassembled her today. It was a somewhat emotional experience, since Scimita came into being in her very first form almost a full year ago at last year's beach week. At least I know that she was sacrificed for a good cause - I am undertaking the large project of sorting all of my Bionicle parts. My goal is to have them all sorted and ready for beach week on July 11.
On a completely unrelated topic, I'm
My brother began learning how to play drums perhaps a month ago. For those who don't know, when learning to play drums, the learner is typically assigned a given amount of time to practice on a 'practice pad,' a small pad of one material or another that makes less sound than an actual drum. Because of this attribute, it didn't bug me much when he practiced on the pad, as he was required to do it in his room. However, the other day, he and my mom dredged up an ancient drum set - dented, rusted, p
So, I've decided to begin the reactivation of my blog by simply posting entries again. So, today is Friday, June 26. Not too much is happening today. My brother left at 10 a.m. with a friend, he'll be there until 4 p.m. There are two things I'm really looking forward to today:
-The end of this week's contest.
- Playing Dicecapades.
I'll start with the first one. On Monday of this week, my mother announced that this week and each week of summer break hereafter, a contest would be held. The
Tonight my uncle (alias U.J.), aunt (alias A.J.), and two cousins (female, age 5, alias Kay; male, age 1, alias T.J.) came over for dinner and cards. They have a mini hot dog maker like those you sometimes see in convenience stores - the ones that turn the wieners on metal poles - that make good hot dogs. The main event, however, was playing cards. Since underage gambling is illegal in the U.S., my family uses candy to bet with. Since we had so many people today, we had a variety: Mike & Ike
So, my mom is going to Orlando until Tuesday for an AVID conference (she's a teacher). Before she left, I grilled her about ways to make money. She gave me three possibilities:
-Clean Rosie's (the guinea pig's) cage: $5
-Prep the garage for cleaning: None, but clears the way for making money actually cleaning the garage when she gets back.
-Nitpick: $10 per hour.
Most of you are probably raising your eyebrows at the third option. No, my mother does not mean nagging, she means literally p
Woo! I'm at the beach house, and it is seriously awesome this year. The guest list is longer than ever, and the house is big enough to accommodate, sporting two floors and three large bedrooms. The guest list is as follows:
-My mom
-Me
-My brother
-My sister
-My grandmother
-My uncle
-My two aunts
-My two cousins
-My dog
-My grandmother's dog
The best part? I have most of the bottom floor (which is just a "rec room") to myself for sleeping and building (Of course I transported my
The contest has been narrowed down to four entries based on popular vote:
-Kelly Park, a tubing adventure with rock climbing on the side.
-Segway riding, 'nuff said.
-Go-Kart Racing, again, 'nuff said.
-And yes, Typhoon Lagoon made it into the top four.
The votes are all in, but my mother has ultimate power over the winner. The results will be announced within the hour. I hope it's Typhoon Lagoon, but I wouldn't mind Kelly Park (one of my brother's entries).
I said I'd keep up with my blog, so that's what I'm doing.
Today was mostly uninteresting, so I'll talk about something that's been going on for a while. Near the end of summer, my mother decided our family needed to lose some weight. Now, I wasn't fit, but I wasn't fat either; I strongly suspect that the whole scheme is mostly aimed at my brother. Anyway, my mother introduced us to a weight-loss plan called Weight Watchers. Some of you may know what this is, but for those who don't, I'll sum
Woo! Just one week until school starts. My open house is on Thursday (8/20) from 2:15-4:45. I'm trying to get Ding over beforehand so we can work on our summer assignments, then walk over to the school together.
In other news, my mom is reconsidering getting me the G1. Her main reason is the price. The primary reason I want the phone is that it offers Internet access almost anywhere. However, that is the largest addition to the price tag. Adding my phone service, plus the upgrades she needs t
The Collection is now almost completely installed on my laptop. It's huge; 4 disks to install.
Mostly I just wanted to say that.
Nothing else really interesting happened today, so I'll just close this blog entry before I start rambling.
How does one decorate a blog? I need your help, mostly-nonexistent readers. Here are things I want to include in my new-and-improved blog: Set reviews. Bionicle Action Figure Game Reports. Me. Any ideas for decoration? Things I should include? I'm lost here.
Today I realized that I never blogged what this week's $20 contest theme was. This week's theme is unique in two ways. Firstly, it is broken up into two parts. The first part of the contest ended on Sunday, and the theme was to come up with ways to teach songs to kids. This contest stems from the fact that every night this week we are attending VBS, and my mom is teaching the music portion. For those who don't know, VBS stands for Vacation Bible School. It's for kids K-8 grade. Being in transiti
Yesterday I vomited again after I tried to eat dinner. But I was improving - at the beginning of the day, walking was next to impossible, but I could practically run at the end of the day. Then I threw up.
We moved my bed into the living room so I'd be closer to a bathroom/sink.
This morning, however, I woke up almost 100% better. No fever, no aching muscles, almost no headache, and I've kept down my cheese-stick-and-toast breakfast for about 45 minutes.
Unfortunately, my mom still isn'
Brickshelf and Majhost going down is very unfortunate. However, I have created an account at several other image hosting sites, my favorite being MOCPages (where I'm Carakki of BZPower, if you want to look me up and/or preview my contest entry).
In other news, I've been feeling pretty good since eighth period today (for those out of the loop, that's math class). We did a lot and it put me in a good mood.
Tonight or tomorrow I'll start uploading pictures and probably will enter tomorrow aft

Some of you may remember that when school was in session, I would occasionally make an entry from my Digital Design class when I finished early. Well, for the first time this year, I am once again the first person done with the day's assignment, and decided to make an entry because I didn't yesterday.
That's all. (I didn't say I would say anything important in the entry, did I?)
Remember how I needed $25 more for the G1? I got it. This week has been very busy what with Orlando and such, and so I was the only person to remember this week's $20 contest. Being the only person with an entry, I took the $20 prize. The last $5 was gained by trading a $5 movie theater gift card to my mom. The only thing left is to go get the phone.
In other news, I saw Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen this evening, and I must say, it tops the first one by a mile. I have to go to bed now,
I awoke at 6:00 a.m. this morning and felt very productive. I cleaned my room for an hour.
Nobody else is up yet.
In other news, we're going to see the local 10:20 showing of G.I. Joe (it's cheaper to go before noon) with Queen. Finally, I get to meet them face-to-face.
Last night was spent watching the TV premier of the Wizards of Waverly Place movie. My sister is addicted to television, and we were all watching it, so I went ahead and sat through it. If nothing else, the special effec
