No really, this is what counts as news on an otherwise newsless day? Not to complain, but if one person says x about a set and another person comes back with y about the set, isn't it just discussion? We have a whole forum for that.
This is an example of good MOCing without needing to be custom. Color schemes, my dear*, color schemes are the new custom.
*Any similarity to real people is purely coincidental.
I need a program (preferably free) (preferably simple) (preferably not one I've already tried*) that saves transparent GIF files.
*I'd be a little worried if anyone knew this .
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. And I will never understand GIMP.
Is a terrible name for a website. That said, I joined 'cuz of the Certavus contest. Which I wasn't going to join either, at that. But then I had an idea and figured if I was going to go through the trouble of making an MOC of Certavus, I might as well enter the contest for it. Now I'm just another one of the tons of people clogging up our beloved BBC forum with MOCs of the same guy that are mostly all the same color!
On a lighter note, RoS 3 is out! Go read it if you haven't already, 'cuz it
All new members, listen up: Forum Mentors aren't really friendly, they just have a bunch of reused lines and their finger on the post button! Shocking footage! Don't be fooled by the all the smileys and words; remember, you are not the first person to fall into their trap!
That is all.
Greg recently made a poll (for the LEGO company) asking who uses Twitter. And now LEGO has given us the theme of our latest BBC. Something awesome better be coming.
I always feel so childlike when I see snow coming down. Like I'm 8 years younger. Dunno why, I just love snow. If I were somebody else, I'd compose a sonnet to the snow. Nah, I'll just go play in it.
There are three things wrong with this picture:
Here are my comments on each smiley:
Smiley 1:
Smiley 2: there's no need for it.
Smiley 3: That's creepy.
Why people can't think before sticking a smiley on their topic beats me.
Oh, and check out my new MOC, I'm pretty proud of it.
So yeah, just thought I should do this.
1. Is this survey thing becoming a fad?
2. Do you like the survey fad?
3. If you could make a survey, what would it be?
4. Why would you make this particular survey?
5. What survey would you never make?
6. Why wouldn't you make this survey?
7. Which do you prefer, av/sig fads or topic fads?
8. Why?
9. Am I wasting my time?
My answers:
1-9. Yes, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, definitely.
><
If you don't know what that means, I envy you. Terribly. You can't even begin to imagine how terribly I wish I were in your shoes. And I have to talk about it more tomorrow. ><
On the other hand, I'm also giving some individual speeches that shouldn't be too bad. All the same, after tomorrow I'm going to look like this guy.
Seriously, though, enough of the questionnaires in General Discussion. Ahem, let's try that again, General Discussion. More discussion goes on in the OGD usually than is happening in GD. Besides, a lot of the questions in questionnaires are yes/no questions, which as we all know would be better as a poll.
I'm not saying that discussion has totally stopped, by the way. Just that quite a lot of the first page is taken up by these topics.
Don't anybody feel flamed (or start flaming) because o
