Day 19 Today was my first official day of working in the laser lab. It was just me and a senior, and we were working on the plumbing. We had to fit a heat exchanger, which is basically just a heavy metal cube, into a mess of hoses and pumps. We managed to disconnect most of the hoses and screw the exchanger into the box, and then set to the task of reconnecting the hoses. And these are no normal hoses. They're designed to withstand extreme water pressure, so they're about 8mm thick PVC, wi
Day 44 So, after making fantastic progress in the laser lab, we went down to the chem department to grab some deionized water. And I found this beauty: Yep. Just a chunk of Uranium, sitting right there. So yeah, I hung out with some people, which is why this is such a late entry. Fun times.
So I'm almost done with loan applications, and man are they a hassle. I leave on Monday for my church's youth camp, get back on Saturday. Also, OMG I LEAVE FOR COLLEGE IN TWO MONTHS. WHAT. So there's that. I've semi-recently taken up transcribing sheet music in my spare time. Got about six Skyward Sword tracks done. Also been listening to Chrono Trigger music all day because it's just so good. Speaking of music, Rush's new album came out and I don't have enough money! *cries* So ye
Howdy, In case anyone was wondering, my choirs retreat went great. Made friends, sang, ate, and all that.
Anyways, I'm going sailing with Sea scouts again on Saturday, all day. Epic.
I figured I'd post a pic of our ship and crew.

I'm the guy in the Navy Blue t-shirt.
I might put some more pics up later.

I finally watched Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Might be my new favorite in the series. I think it made the transition from book to movie the best out of any.
AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. :|
Calculus is literally killing me. Here's what I'm doing.
Seriously? Why do they do this to me?
Btb, the answer is:
4/(51/3) x 4/(51/3) x 251/3
Hey people!
I haven't been on here in like, forever. Main reason being classes. College students! Tell me your secrets of maintaining any semblance of time and sanity!!!!!!
Seriously though, I'm doing like, a hundred calculus problems a day. For a class that meets twice a week. I'm tired of it.
But yeah, I didn't find the computer to rant, just to say that I am, in fact, not dead yet. Just looking forward to spring break.
My scout troop is having there ski trip this weekend! Two full days with my new snowboard! Which I'll have pics of eventually. There's only two snowboarders going, the other of which is half my height, and 20th in the nation for his age.
His brother Ryan is in the December Boys Life for skiing. Cause he's third best 8 year old freestyler. Yeah, my troop is that awesome.

Heading out to weekend retreat with my choir. Will be in Chester VA, Chester Presbytirian (sp?) Church on Sunday morning, if anyone near there wanted to show up.

Day 60 Hey guys, check out this video of a laser lab! http://vimeo.com/52180005 I apologize for the vertical camera. I'm new at this. I finally played some more Darksiders. I gotta say, what the game lacks in story/atmosphere, it gains in spectacular boss fights. I don't know if I've had this much fun boss fighting since Metroid Fusion.
One of the benefits of working with a professional sound system, is that when everyone else is gone, you can play shagged you want as loud as you want. Playing the Dark Knight Rises trailer with a giant subwoofer is one of the greatest/terrifyingist things in the world.
Day 4 Today was pretty cool. We had chapel at the beautiful church on campus, and the men's Glee club led the hymns. Talked more and met more people. We had a short RA meeting. Our RAs are pretty cool, they're really helpful, and fairly leniant. I tried to get my MacBook on the wifi again. It'll connect at the IT Center but it doesn't like my halls router. Lastly, we went to the Orientation Board's "Off Broadway", where the various OB groups present skits. They were really good, a
Day 28 Well, Physics test went pretty well. I'm pretty sure I got an A. I got my Calc test back today as well, I got a 95 on that. I'm still geeking out over The Hobbit though. I can't wait 'till December.
