Day 19 Today was my first official day of working in the laser lab. It was just me and a senior, and we were working on the plumbing. We had to fit a heat exchanger, which is basically just a heavy metal cube, into a mess of hoses and pumps. We managed to disconnect most of the hoses and screw the exchanger into the box, and then set to the task of reconnecting the hoses. And these are no normal hoses. Day 20 Dang, 20 days already. Well, Tuesdays are still my least favorite day. Early morning Phys Ed and late night Humanities just don't make for a good day. Not to mention I went through seven years of Scantrons for the Physics Dept. Man those are heavy. My Chem lab was pretty good today though, we did some actual chemistry finally. Day 17 Well, I missed breakfast, due to the little sleep I got. I played more Minecraft for most of the afternoon. We got a totally awesome mountain base, which we cover the outside in water, so it can't easily be blown up. It looks awesome. However, the admins for this server were really abusing their powers. Day 16 Classes were pretty easy/boring today, although I do have to write a one page summary of why I became a Physics major. I hate writing assignments like that. Day 14 So, I saw my new favorite math joke today: A like of infinite Mathmaticians walk into a bar. The first one orders a drink. The second one orders half a drink. The third one orders a quarter of a drink. After the fourth one orders, the bartender puts two drinks on the counter and says: "You boys really need to learn your limits!" I lol'd. Anyways, we had Physics lab today. Which turned into "what's wrong with the software". Anyways, classes were pretty nondescript today.
Day 9 Yay for weekends! I started the day off by putting the wrong notebook in my bag, so I had to come all the way back after Calc to turn in my homework. I got a (very) short tour of the laser system that I'll be helping to fix. We believe it's a problem with the heat exchanger, but we haven't been able to reproduce the failure. Day 8 Well, it's that time again. Thursday's are my light days, so all I had class-wise was an 8 o'clock Phys Ed. class. I spent a good portion of the afternoon updating the wall with all the Physics Student's pictures and names on it. We had our Physics Pizza Party. Hello everyone! I figured college would be a great excuse for me to join the 'Closing Thoughts' bandwagon. Since I didn't do one yesterday, you get a brief rundown of day 1 as well. Well, I'm all packed up. (for the most part) I leave on Wednesday to go to Grove City College. As excited as I am, I gotta say, I'm scared to death. I'm not sure why, but the thought of college is just overwhelmingly terrifying. That'll probably all settle within my first day, but still, it's gonna be an intersting move.
Well, I'm all moved in. First day has been pretty exciting. Although Steam won't run in anything but Offline Mode here, and I can't seem to connect my Macbook to the wifi.
So I was at Macaroni Grill for my sister's birthday, and they gave us crayons with which to draw. So I said to myself: "You know Eeko? I'm gonna actually draw something! I never do!" Here's a minute by minute breakdown of what happened. 1st min: Automatic default to Triforce. 2nd min: Get bored and try to freehand a Fibonacci Spiral. 3rd min: Get to about n=9 on the spiral, start jotting down as much of the Fibonacci sequence as I can on the tablecloth, get about thirty numbers down.
So hey guys, I'm having some trouble with one of my Custom Maps, titled "The Grid". When I subscribe to it, it won't show up on my queue. Normally I could just load up the file, but I made it on my laptop, and am trying to play it on my desktop. Any idea why this is? Will it work for someone else?
So I beat Quantum Conundrum, I and I thought I might do a little review on it. First, the good: The puzzle 'gimmick' is fantastic, the IDS (Inter-Dimensional Shifting) device is a great idea. It's smooth, easy to use, and leads to some really cool puzzles. John De Lancie. I know him primarily from MLP: FiM, since I never watched much Star Trek.
