So I saw The Dark Knight Rises. Fantastic. Not as good as Dark Knight in my mind, but man oh man was Bane intense. In other news, yay skin! It was a lot of fun to see this come together backstage. I even had my own little part to play! Granted it was just cataloguing images that I'm not entirely sure were used... but hey, it still looks nice.
Well, I'm finally back from tour. I had a great time, and am very tired. As far as Steam goes, I picked up the following. Amnesia Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Bioshock Bioshock 2 Darksiders Limbo Quantum Conundrum Psychonaughts And then the lovely JMJ gifted me Bastion. (Chols did as well, but JMJ beat him to the punch). Lord knows when I'll actually play any of these. So for now, I'll be avoiding the blogs because of potential DKR spoilers. See you later!
So Steam sale guys. I picked the perfect time to have a birthday. I've got a $50 dollar cap, and I fully plan on using it all. But I have a question for people, seeing as this is my first Steam Sale. Do the smaller deals (like how Bastion is 33% off now) stay up for the full 10 days? Say Bastion doesn't get any lower than 33% off, will it stay 33% off the whole time? Or go back to full price later?
Birthday loot brag time!! I had a pretty sweet load this time 'round, maybe one of the best ever for me. First up iTunes money, so I had just enough to buy both Clockwork Angels by Rush, as well as Alive 2007 by Daft Punk. So good. Second up was a Zombie survival poster, which didn't really make sense since my whole family knows I'm not a poster person. Thirdly, was a $50 () Steam gift card. Snagged about 75 bucks overall. Greatest of all however, was the T-shirts. Feast your eyes upon th
So I went to my friends house for our annual "light things on fire until they make pretty colors" party. Oh man. It was awesome. I torched my thumb while lighting a spark fountain, it turned quite a lovely shade of red with a few black bits. I almost lit my shirt on fire, but I got the sparks out in time. We also set off a huge chain reaction of around 10 fireworks, each one lighting the next one. So good.
So my sister's birthday is coming up soon, and her being a Whovian (she's the one who got me into the show), I wanted to get her a Doctor Who related gift. So my question to you all is: Are there any good Weeping Angel figurines out there? All the ones I've seen so far ar kinda so-so. Also I turn 18 in 3 days. What is this madness.
So everybody, my choir is going on it's yearly tour very soon, and I figured I'd post the concert schedule here. July 14th: Piney Flats Baptist Church, Piney Flats TN July 15th - 16th: Somewhere in Huntsville AL. July 17th: Somewhere in Atlanta GA July 18th: St. Mary's First Baptist Church, St. Mary GA July 19th: Somewhere in Raleigh NC. July 20th - 21st: Ash Avenue Baptist Church, South Boston VA. If you live near any of these places, you should totally come here us sing!! T
Well that was... mediocre at best. Beautiful to look at, but the pacing and story were simply not up to Pixar's standards. I'd save your money on this one guys.
http://vimeo.com/43549399 An animated version of the ocean from before. Link to a poorer quality full screen. The original size is about 860x490. Took a few hours to render. I might try one later where it get's progressively stormier and the water speeds up and gets choppy.
Did a car wash today for a church fundraiser. Forgot sunscreen. AAAAARRRGGGGHHHHH! In other news, I finally finished Final Fantasy VII. Such a great game. Seriously, if you haven't played it, go buy a PS1 and play it. Definitely one of the best RPGs I've ever played.
So I'm almost done with loan applications, and man are they a hassle. I leave on Monday for my church's youth camp, get back on Saturday. Also, OMG I LEAVE FOR COLLEGE IN TWO MONTHS. WHAT. So there's that. I've semi-recently taken up transcribing sheet music in my spare time. Got about six Skyward Sword tracks done. Also been listening to Chrono Trigger music all day because it's just so good. Speaking of music, Rush's new album came out and I don't have enough money! *cries* So ye
Choose your own horror edition!! First up we have Fluttershy!! Next up, is Pinkie Pie!!! Thirdly, is everyones favorite... Discord! And in the fourth corner, is Applejack!!! Lastly, we have a bonus Surprise non-pony character!!! Here's to nightmares.
I finally watched Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Might be my new favorite in the series. I think it made the transition from book to movie the best out of any.
Oh, man. Even without the LOTR aspect, this is hands down the best LEGO gameplay I've seen. Individual character inventories, cinematics from the movies, weapon upgrading... I can't wait.
Microsoft: Oh man, I had quite a few laughs during this one. Not good laughs, definitely laughing at them. Internet explorer. Classic. Too much Kinect in my opinion. Halo 4 looked to be the only decent thing to come out of that show. EA: Splinter Cell looks totally awesome. I know nothing about the series, but still, pretty cool. I just can't seem to get excited for the Lara Croft title though. It seems like such a great idea, but all the gameplay they've shown so far just looks terrible. So m
So I finally did something in Blender, after quite a while. They had released the next version, so I had to try out the new internal renderer. Anyways, Link As an interesting aside, here's what it looks like without any help from the compositer. Link2
