Remember, remember the seventh of November

My Xbox got here today. So far all I've done is set it up, mess with preferences, redeem some codes, and play a little Burnout (SO FUN). Hooking it up to my monitor is a pain; long story short I can't use my speakers anymore for my PC, so I guess I'm going headphones only (final destination) for my PC. Guess next on my to-by list should be a TV (or another set of speakers, but that's ridiculous).   Also what's up with the Dashboard only being 720p, it hurts my eyes.

Skyrim Adventure, Part 26: In Which I Escape The Labyrinth

The librarian informed me that the book we need happened to be stolen when a student left to join a cult. I headed to their hangout. Inside I fought my way through mages. Guess their member count is taking quite a dive this time of year hehehe. I made it to the final chamber where the leader, The Caller (what a lame name), was hanging out with the books. I persuaded her to let me take them and be on my way instead of fighting. I grabbed the books, then killed her anyway. WHOOPS When I arrived ba

Skyrim Adventure, Part 24: In Which I Turn Into A Ghost To Kill A Ghost

I decided to do a quest for the Bards and find King Olaf's lost verse. I fast traveled to the nearest location and fought a Blood Dragon. On several occasions it landed far enough away from me that I was no longer considered to be in combat. Eventually I killed it and got to the dungeon. I fought my way through the undead and found a magically sealed door. I couldn't break it, so I continued on. I found the book. The ghost that had been “leading” me though the place was there. Apparently he had

Phase 2 Clone Trooper Sprite (w.i.p.)

taking a break from 3d and vectors, i've broadened my horizons into the wonderful field known as pixel art and because i've been in a real big star wars mood lately, i made a clone trooper in phase 2 armor     obviously the colors aren't final; they're just so i can easily distinguish between different things instead of it all being one color still have no idea what i'm gonna do with the hands and feet (currently they're just blocks) looking at the helmet, it looks too much like a stormtrooper.

Skyrim Adventure, Part 33: In Which I Cut Off My Ring Finger

for those of you not familiar with the Assassin's Creed series, the title refers the practice of cutting off one's ring finger when joining the Assassins   I returned to Windhelm, as I had heard about someone trying to summon the Dark Brotherhood. I broke into a house and found a boy performing the Black Sacrament to summon a Brotherhood member. He thought he was successful and that I was an assassin. He didn't believe that I wasn't, and said my contract was to kill Grelod the Kind, the owner of

I Saved The Pumpkins

I beat Trine 2 today. It's one of the most beautiful games I've played, for sure. The art direction is great and the lighting is just spectacular. The gameplay was a little disappointing; there were too many similar puzzles and combat still only consisted of mashing mouse 1. The biggest disappointment though was the length: a measly 5 and a half hours. Regardless, it's the type of game that makes you want to play through it again eventually.   Next up is Darksiders, which I will be starting shor

Skyrim Adventure, Part 32: In Which I Become The King Of Thieves

I continued doing Thieves quests in order to improve the Guild. I did enough for the remaining two cities, Markarth and Solitude, and started the special missions. Markarth's involved retrieving a stolen item. While I was traveling, I fought an Ancient Dragon. With the Razor, I instakilled it with the first strike. B) I arrived at the location to find a regular looking shack. The item was nowhere to be found. Then I noticed a secret button that moved the bookcase to reveal a SECRET PASSAGE. Ther

More Video Games

Prototype was close to completion when I wrote the last entry, and I beat it soon after. Like I said before, really fun game and I recommend it.   Then I played and beat Alan Wake over the next few days, as well as the 2 DLC levels that were included for free ("The Signal" and "The Writer"). Wow, it was great. I was doubtful of the whole "fight with light" thing, but it worked out really well. The fights felt tactical, challenging, occasionally stressful (in a good way), and perfectly paced. And

Skyrim Adventure, Part 5: In Which I Learn The Ways Of The Force

On my way to meet the Greybeards, I came across "Orphan's Rock." I expected to come across dozens of sad, homeless children. Instead I got witches. And a HAGRAVEN. After several unsuccesful attempts at even getting near it, I gave up, and continued on my way. Soon after, I saw a dragon flying in the sky. After quicksaving (better safe than sorry!) I began to shoot fireballs at it. They all missed and eventually it flew away. Maybe that's a good thing. After talking to some peeps in the town, I s

Skyrim Adventure, Part 43: In Which I Kill The Minotaur

During my adventured I met a woman living high up in the mountains all alone. Apparently she was exiled or ran away or something. She taught me a thing or two about archery. And by that I mean I shot at some targets for her and my Archery skill magically increased. I decided to look up the locations of remaining Words of Power, as exploring... well, I think I've found most locations. Exploring consists of walking around aimlessly for 20 minutes only to find a cave with one room and two enemies i

Sometimes, I Really Love Computers

Like, REALLY LOVE.   I downloaded this great program called MP3Gain. It scanned the volume level of all my music, then adjusted them so they were all relatively the same. No more adjusting the speakers when a quiet song comes on!

Hero Factory

I must say, those sets look really cool. If I were still interested in LEGO sets I would want them, for sure. Then again, they'll surely have ludicrous prices.       YES THAT IS RIGHT BZP I SAID I LIKE THE HF SETS *hoists flame shield*
