Apparently, my math class doesn't understand what that word means. "Quiet" isn't in their vocabulary; the concept of "Quiet" is like an unknown language; "Quiet" isn't in their programming; being "Quiet" is inconcivible.
. . . and my parents wonder why my grades in there are low. Imagine trying to take notes in that sort of atmosphere. >_>
First my MP3 dies, then my headphones break again, and if I don't improve my chemistry grades by next week, I'll be a lot less active here on BZP.
And to top it all off, Alex hasn't posted his promised SS yet, which I was really looking forward to. <.<
Just got back from the Harry Potter Exhibit at the Pacific Science Center. My dad and brother went with me, and even though Dad complained about the price of the stuff in the gift shop, I thought it was pretty fun.
Some of our group got Sorted at the front (My brother and I both were Ravenclaws -- I personally think he'd be a better Slytherin), then we started walking. If you live in the Seattle area, I suggest you go, if you haven't already.
(PS: There a lot of delicious-looking desserts
It started with a methane leak in the science wing (don't ask) yesterday, and it ended in the Excalibur Hotel's Tournament of Kings dinner/show tonight. Granted, I'm not going back to Washington until Monday, but ... today was a good day. B)
(And no, I'm telling you any real details. After all, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. )
Behold, what I've been working on since January. It's not as shiny as it actually is, since the lighting in my kitchen is lousy, and there was a lot of black petina on the metal that I couldn't completely get rid of. I'll probably keep the black, since it makes it look more sinister. Btw, the gash on the bottom right side was unintentional: when I was cutting it away the bottom sprews, I let another student take over for me when I went to rest my hands, and when I came back he had cut into i
Mayans: the world's oldest trolls? ... jokes aside, I highly doubt that tomorrow will be anything other than the average Friday, not the apocolypse or the 'dawn of a new age' as the New-Age people are calling it. Since whatever's supposed to happen is supposed to happen around 5 AM, I'll probably sleep right through it. So, if I don't wake up from earthquakes tomorrow, or I'm unable to move things with my mind (as the New-Ageists are saying I will be), I'm going to have a nice time laughing
Finish my present for Kagha Finish next chapter for HitM Prep first three chapters of Wings for posting (The keen-eyed observer will notice that I intend to do all this before my birthday. )
An overhaul of KOTOR and KOTOR II -- improved graphics/cutscenes/cinmatic videos, deleted stuff added to the overall games (like the HK-50 factory from KOTOR II, which wasn't in the final game), maybe even online content -- then put together onto one disk and shipped as a 360 game.
I would buy it, no questions asked.
*starts singing* "It's the most wonderful time of the year --"
*great white jumps out of water and eats seal*
Well, in any case, it gives me the perfect excuse to install that Seneca's Keep shark tank that I've always wanted in there.
So some of you might know of an upcoming COTRPG called Transformers: Alignment. It recently got its final vote of approval from the judges, so it won't be long before it's rolling. Anyone joining in on it, other than myself, Basilisk, Krayzikk, and Doctor Wotz?
I got part of my next writing projects done at the library today, when the weather was stormy. (Ironically, the project in question had a storm going on in it too.) The bad part? I had to walk home in it.
Walking home, in the middle of a thunderstorm, surrounded with tall trees?
NOT FUN.
Plumbing problem screwed with our schedules and made us unable to use the bathrooms for most of the day Brow waxing = painful Searching for an unknown present when you have no idea what to get is stressful My family got reservations at my favorite Chinese resturaunt on the one night I wouldn't be having dinner with them. >.< Traffic was bad going to my friend's birthday party was horrid Brawl was as fun as usual, but not very fair when your opponent is blind Parents arrived late to pick m
Let's get this party started!
Puzzle Contest -- Round 1
Rules Don't share answers with each other, even answers you know aren't right. Doing so will get you disqualified for that round. This also applies for stealing another person's answer when you didn't come up with it yourself. You may, however, share theories. If you come up with an answer with the help of another contestant, make sure you mention that you did so, and who that was so I can give them credit. Each round, I will post th
I have Friday, Monday, and Tuesday off. Normally I'd spend that long weekend writing and hitting Xbox Live (especially since that weekend will have my brother being out of the house a lot), but since there's a slight possibility that I'll be spending a bit of time in Portland, perhaps I won't be on as much.
1 down, 299 more to go. There's a loop on his back that you can't see in this pic, where I'm planning to put a chain/leather string and wear him as a necklace; I'll link a picture once I do so. *prepares for imminent Halo fans wanting to buy it* (I'm considering selling him, though I haven't decided just yet. I'll let you know if I do sell. )
I hate to say it, but I got fooled by the oldest trick in the book.
I was walking to the library to work on my stuff, when I saw a couple of quarters tied to fishing wire and lying on the ground. Even though I knew about the joke, I went to grab them -- and they got yanked away.
And right when I fell for it, I saw the guy on the other end, hiding in the bushes, with the biggest grin on his face.
We both had a laugh about it, but I'm still annoyed with myself. >.>
As of midnight tonight, I'll have eight more days of summer.
Sadness. (Yeah, I know I said this last entry; just deal with it.) I'm gonna try and finish my next chapter of Lightning Strikes Twice and have it posted before I have to start 10th grade.
Got a few jokes up my sleeve to use on Zen. >=D
Anyway, today's probably my last day on BZP for a bit, unless I can somehow get Internet access on the cruise ship. Hopefully when I get back I'll find that the mysterious quietness in the Wings review topic has gone away.
[/subtle hint]
This is why I'm steaming mad. Apparently Reep's been yanked into this too, along with who knows how many other people. I call for a petition to get Amazon to take this down. I dunno who's behind this, but he better hope he never runs into me. EDIT: Apparently I'm not the only one incensed about this. Thanks for letting me know, Saya!
Assignment: "Write a 400+ word fairy tale for the second year students. Include a glossary of extra words and one illustration. You can't use online dictionaries; Word-processed rough draft is due on Monday, kthxbai." Me: -.- The solution? Take Metroid and transplant it into a fairy-tale setting. Samus is now a magically-enhanced knight, complete with magic armor, weapons, and spells. Ridley is now a dragon with ogre minons. The Chozo are now elves. The Metroids are now fairies that
I already heard this particular rumor, but apparently while speaking to Oprah, J.K. Rowling hinted she might be writing another book for HP.
I'm not sure if she was talking about the encyclopedia (or, as she called it, the Scottish Book) or an actual novel, but it's interesting to think about.
