A More Typical Day

The following blog entry is not for the squeamish of stomach.   It's 11:00 AM, and I'm trying to keep myself from falling apart.   Poltical Science class is two days old, and there is less than a week left in the class. The instructor is a jerk - I had to email him just to figure out the class room number and that it was starting late, and I wasn't told about the textbook until two days ago, and the college bookstore's price on textbooks is so ridiculously expensive that I always have to go to

A crazy weekend

On BZPower, this is isn't evident, but in real life, I am a liar. By all appearances, I am naturally good at it. Either that, or my parents and friends are all bad at noticing them. I am very good at hiding things, half-truths, and all forms of illusionry, easily keeping track of what people know about me with the greatest of ease...and what they don't.   It's even evident in how my eyes work. A Brief Note on Projects - Down to the "last two".

Of the projects mentioned in the previous blog entries, Late to the Party and the Categorical GregF Reference yet remain.   The Categorical GregF Reference programming is, in fact, done. I originally thought this one to top out at 36; I'm starting t

[11 DAYS LEFT TO ENTER!]The Clipboard Blog Contest #1: Lego's True Potential

ENTRY DEADLINE: MAY 19, 2016   For shame, Lego. Seriously, you missed the opportunity for a good villain in Von Nebula, you forgot about what good comic art was when you hired Sayger, and darn it, that battle with Skull Basher was waaaay too short. Fortunately, you have your loyal fans to tell you all about it. And now they are going to fix it for you.   That's right, for this contest you are going to take a moment where Lego had so much potential and threw it out the door, and instead use that

"Crashed" by Daughtry

In 2007, when I heard the Toa Mahri mini-movie, I misheard the lyrics to Crashed as "compressed in the earth, going up in flames", and I thought the singer was talking about that devil's homeland, like after his own death.   And I thought that it was referring to the hardships the Toa Mahri were facing underwater (perhaps a little ironic?) and Mata Nui's death, in an utterly nasty way. In my opinion, that made the song the worst from Bionicle.   In 2011 or so, I realized that the song didn't h
