A double standard, according to the World Book Dictionary, is a standard applied more leniently to one group than to another. For example, a belief that it is permissible for teenage boys, but not teenage girls, to engage in dating is a double standard.
When judicial processes are applied more strictly to some people more than others, such double standards are seen as unjust because they violate a basic maxim of modern legal jurisprudence, that all parties should stand equal before the law. D

So, I totally catastrophically wounded my foot yesterday.
Convinced it wasn't too bad, I went to a walk-in clinic, and the doctor was all 'OMGWTF!? GO GET X-RAYS! UR FOOTS BROKEDED!'. So, form in hand, I go to the hospital, and get all radiated. The radiologist is convinced it isn't broken, and that I'm fine. And yet, my foot is still massively swollen, in copious amounts of pain, and thoroughly bruised.
But apparently I'm fine.
Things have come to my attention recently. Situations have been formed, due to both my own actions and things far beyond my grasp. Either way, I have come to the unwavering conclusion that, despite convictions to keep to themselves, everyone should learn to be comfortable with themselves. People should have the capability to be honest and open with everyone. They should learn to turn their thoughts and feelings into words, and communicate with those around them. Ugh. I just got up and I already have work to do. Seeing how I'm gone to boot camp for three weeks as of Saturday, I've got all this packing to do, I have to iron my uniform and polish my boots, have to let all you folks know I'm going to be gone, find people to watch my RPG Characters, and *gulps*, I have to clean my room. Oh did I mention I was going to be gone for three weeks? I guess I'll give you guys the low-down on my Boot Camp:

I have a newfound hatred for electrical storms and stairs... here's how the story goes (takes place between 10PM-12AM):
I was by myself at home, sitting on the computer, talking to Hak, and lurking in the shadows of BZP. I looked outside, and saw a ton of lightning. In my typical fashion, I ignored it. I kept conversing with Hak, until I noticed the lights starting to flicker. I knew the power was going. I tried to let him know, but bam! Just as I was about to send the message, power goes out

Life is a constant battle. I flourish on the battlefield. At heart, we are all soldiers in our own game.
That being said, I'm really bored with the way this war is going. Same repeated attacks and defenses, time and time again. Life needs variation. Suggestions?
