The NHL lockout has come, at long last, to an end (yes this is old news but I forgot to make a blog post about it) I, however, will not be watching any hockey until October 2013, because I'm stubborn and I don't want to support a league that treats its fans so poorly. I am Canadian, in case you didn't know, and hockey is in my blood. In my very soul. Needless to say, this is heartrending. *tears* #staystrong #gocanucksgo (I swear though if the Canucks win the Cup this year I will d
...you probably saw this coming. And yes it would have been nice to do another big poll like last time but I decided to do one name change for myself before I make it a big affair so yeah. Next time. And yes I almost went with Justin Bieber again. Belieber would've been nice though...
Xenoblade Chronicles is slated for an April 2012 release in North America. For those of you who are confused, Xenoblade Chronicles is a Japanese RPG that was released in Japan in 2010, and in Europe and Australia mid-2011. Despite receiving critical acclaim and being hailed as an amazing breath of fresh air into the JRPG genre, and despite already having an English translation of the game for Europe and Australia, Nintendo of America refused, for unknown reasons, to release the game in North A
My SSC9 entry is up! Redemption It would really mean a lot to me if it got some views, and reviews would make me weep joyful tears. I'll also give you cookies.
If you want to discuss The Force Awakens, please be mindful of others. Put WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD at the top of your post and wrap your spoilers in seventeen sets of spoiler tags. This is one of the most anticipated films of all time (quite possibly the most anticipated), and not everyone will have the chance to see it this weekend. Please don't ruin this once-in-a-lifetime experience for other people. Even quasi-ambiguous statements like "Wow, plot twist!" or "Hmm, the acting was sub-par,"
As a rule, I don't watch many horror movies. Actually, I don't watch any. My parents don't like them, and I've never really had an opportunity. That changed last night, with The Mist. I have never been so terrified in my life. My friends and I were joking around during the movie, trying to lighten the mood, but every few minutes one of us would scream as some alien creature popped up and scared the living daylights out of us. Yes, it was a horror movie: I was horrified. And once the movie
Again, I'm trying to find a project I can throw myself into. Should I... Write an epic (on what?) Co-write an epic (with whom?) Write a series of short stories (on what?) Write a comedy (why?) Write a blog serial (what is this i don't even) Start drawing again (holy bieber seriously?) Any suggestions/questions/comments/snide remarks?
Here is a blog entry to discuss food. It is necessary. Today I barbecued a hamburger and garnished it with mushrooms and lettuce. I ate it and it was very enjoyable. Discuss.
Yes, upon much introspection and re-viewing of the show My Little Ponies: Friendship is Magic, I have come to the realization that I am a brony. I first watched the pilot episode with the intention of simply seeing what all the fuss was about. I didn't plan to particularly like it or dislike it; in fact, I was planning to write a blog post afterwards saying that "It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't terrible, so if you like it that's fine, and if you dislike it that's fine, and we should all just
Because I posted two identical entries yesterday. I am sorry. These... com-pyoo-turrs... are difficult to use. I am not used to managing this... in-turr-net. You are all so tech-savvy, and I'm stuck in the 90's. In other news woohoo going to the mainland tomorrow. (the mainland is exciting because there's civilization there) (it's also exciting because Vancouver is there, and it's my favouritest city in the world) (although if I go elsewhere and find a city I like better I will let y
Barbies have taken over BZPower, and I just heard Rebecca Black's Friday for the first time.
I want to go back to bed.
Actually, the Barbie thing is cool.
Oh auto-tune, must you wreak such havoc on my sensitive auditory organs?
Also Owl City's Alligator Sky is beautiful. Such a contrast, but so, so good.

...when you hear that old song they used to play?
I think it's more than a feeling, really.
Anyway, I started reading Paradise Lost for school today. It's pretty good.
On an unrelated note, you give love a bad name.
No, not you. You. Yes, you.

...someone addresses you and you answer only it turns out they were actually addressing someone else not you and so now you just stand there awkwardly. What other awkward moments have you experienced? LET'S BUILD AN AWKWARD LIST TOGETHER SO WE CAN FEEL SOME CAMARADERIE IN LIFE'S AWKWARDNESS. and also so i feel less awkward ._.
So, I've been thinking about going vegetarian for a while now. Not for any particular reason; it's just supposedly healthier, better for the environment, and more responsible as a whole in terms of leaving a footprint. I've been doing some reading on the subject for a while now, and I decided that today would be my day. Again, no particular reason. I've just been putting it off due to life being super busy, and not having the energy to attempt a major change in my diet, but I'll always find ex
Nineteen Eighty-Four, by George Orwell. I finished reading it last night. It's a brilliant book, but also rather scary, especially when considering the state of world affairs today (as all good dystopic novels should be). I'd recommend this book to anyone. And I do believe that's the last book of my literary summer. Since the start of July, I've read The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, On the Road by Jack Kerouac, and The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. I've started This Side of Par
So. Good.
Yes, it took me a while to see it, but it was definitely worth the wait. An exciting plot, relatable and realistic characters, and some of the animated scenes I've ever seen. The songs were catchy and fun, and added to the experience rather than taking away. I've been humming the incantation song ever since.
Anyway, though this is late, what are your thoughts on Tangled? How do you think it compares to the movies of Disney's golden age, such as The Little Mermaid or The Lion Kin
