Right now, I'm sitting at home on my October break. I can't quite believe it's been seven weeks since I started college. And it feels really strange being home.
But I guess I should start with the past week first. Most significantly: last Sunday I was in Washington, D.C. for the National Equality March. It was rather epic. Definitely an unforgettable time, and I even finally got a rainbow flag! I also saw Lady Gaga in person. Which was rather amazing. And I also met up with one of my friends

Aside from tennis practice, today's been one of my best birthdays ever...
It's been cloudy and rainy all afternoon, which is my favorite weather. I walked around outside the house in the rain, looked at the various plants beginning to sprout and bud – the late snow we got last weekend has melted, and it's expected to be fairly warm from now on, so spring is finally here to stay. I got pretty drenched but had great fun, then came back inside and sat gazing out the window, writing a poem... Rai

Two days after Halloween... and two days until the election. At this point I just want it to be over; there's no way there's going to be a dramatic upset by Tuesday, so all we can do is wait and see... and make sure that CERTAIN PEOPLE (or person, you know who you are) vote.

So... I'm a junior now. It's a bit scary. And not just because this is my second-to-last year of high school. The classes are rather intimidating themselves – completely different from, and much harder, than my last two years. Well, most of them. Remember the invisibility spell from a couple entries ago? We finished translating it today – it is very strange. You perform a ritual and then summon four spirits, who give you an invisibility cloak, but with a catch...

An idea I've had brewing for a while now, spurred to life recently...
We know the Nuva will be returning as sets at some point – this is my imagination of how they ought to look. Not transformed, just restyled – flexible limbs, post-Metru hips, and poseable necks, but keeping their armor, masks, (most of) their colors, and the gist of their appearance.

First performance of our play was today! It's called Saturday Mourning, based generally on The Breakfast Club, and the aforementioned song is played at the beginning.
