No, I'm not making a religion oriented entry. I'm talking about something I just saw in the New Member Q & A forum.
I saw yet another threat of attack on BZP. I have heard about the Maori radicals and their attack on BZPower, and I am hoping that this is not a similar case. This member does appear to have little authority, but I am not wishing to live through another hack of my favorite website.
That said, I have question for you all- Do you have faith in BZPower and its administrat
I'm confused and ashamed by BS01's choice to submit large swaths of fan-created ideas to Greg to be made canon. I understand that Bionicle has had user-generated content before in the form of canonized MOcs and stories, but these were included in moderation and after being properly judged. Yet now BZPower and Biosector01 have decided that they are important enough to decide whatever they like about the Bionicle story. These changes did not need to be made, and Bionicle is the worse for them.
... er... I mean news.
First of all- my brother wanted me to advertise his Short Stories Contest entry on this blog. HERE it is. It's based on the song Endless Night from the play The Lion King. So... please post on it. It would make him happy.
Secondly, I'm not digging this whole blog thing. So anyone who follows this blog (as if anyone does ), let it be said that I am not going to be making any new entries for a while. I won't be gone forever, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I
I really need to revamp my blog (and pay more attention to it). Two entries ago was before Christmas...
Anyway, today's my birthday! Which means it's Aanchir's birthday as well! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, US!
...'ahem'.... Post comments...
The Comedies Contest poll ended in a tie between my entry, The Lego Movie: Primetime Pitch, and Peabody Sam's entry, Scene 24: Johnny Thunder Blows This Taco Stand. So there's now a tiebreaker poll to determine the final winner, to end at midnight tonight! If you voted for one of those entries, get over there and repeat your vote! If you voted for a different entry, pick one of the finalists as your favorite and vote for that! And if you didn't vote, well, you only have to read half as many st
I have to admit being a little disappointed by the results of the tiebreaker poll. Not because I lost, but because neither I nor Peabody Sam even got the eight votes we did in the main poll, let alone new votes from either members who hadn't voted before or members who voted for some of the entries that didn't make it. I really think that there should be some direct line of communication between staff who run contests and the news team so that unexpected events in need of immediate attention (li
Not the firm kind of hard, as it's actually pretty pliable before you bake it. No, I mean hard to use, especially for making masks. My first sculpey mask turned out good. (I'll post pictures if I ever stop being lazy ) But that had layers, not ridges like my second one has. Or LIPS. If Aanchir designs me another mask that's this hard to make, I'll strangle him.
Anyway, here's my process for making masks.
Step 1: Take one Toa Inika head.
Step 2: Coat it in some kind of lub
Very few people have voted my entry. It's probably the fault of my bad coloring, and that no one recognizes it.
Here is its topic:

I did notice that two people (other than my brother and I) did vote our entry. If the two of you could tell me who you are, it might help lift my spirits.
...but it looks like he won't win the BBC contest after all.
Don't cry, Festi...
Anyway, if you haven't voted yet, vote for Festi in poll C and vote for my brother's reindeer in poll G. Festi would have wanted it that way...
Since Aanchir's not gonna blog about it...
Two weeks ago, our family went to a convention for fans of the show "The Office", up in Scranton, PA! We were lucky to have made reservations early this summer (much of our family lives up there), because it was packed! And because one of our great-aunts died three days earlier, so we got to attend the funeral.
But the convention helped to brighten our mood. We got to see The Scrantones (the band that plays the music for the opening credits
I just read it. It's easily the best book GregF has written so far. It plays on one's emotions in such a way that by the end, one feels exactly like Turaga Nuju does when all is said and done.
Long live Mata Nui
Well, my attempt to get this blog back on track has come to a halt. For Christmas I got a journal that, due to the BZP virus, completely supplanted my blog, and had the added benefit of being private, so that I might be able to record my most meaningful secrets and thoughts in it without fear of misunderstanding. I may update this occasionally, but as you can tell from my previous entries, occasionally is a word which here means "practically never," as Aanchir would put it.
Chocolate Frogs has finally convinced me to stop being lazy and get to my blog. So here I am. And I'm reminded of how much work I have to do for it.
See, I haven't been very active on BZP. It was just yesterday that I realized that I got my one-year Vahi. BEFORE MY LAST ENTRY.
So I need to revamp my blog, with a theme other than my failed story. I've got a coupla ideas like...
Cow Planet (A Sandra Boynton themed blog, no? Wish I could find some good pictures....)
Surreal Life (My not-s
Have you voted in Caveat Scriptor yet? If not, drop everything you're doing and go vote. Right now. There's only one day left and so far only 16 people have voted; and I know there's far more than 16 active members here. Currently, my entry, The Lego Movie: Primetime Pitch, is in second place by a small margin. You don't have to vote for it! But I would feel MUCH better, whether I win or lose, if more people voted in the contest whatsoever. If I lose when only 16 people have voted, I'll have to
Look at this as a continuation to my first entry.
So, why Rachira? I thought up the name Rachira, and all of their personal names, last year in an old story about a Toa of shadows. They were going to be dragon-like spirits that served the Shadowed One. I scrapped the idea, since they were nothing but something for the Toa to fight. I gave up on the story.
Meanwhile, school had gotten harder, and less fun. All of these problems were just "facts of life", things that I couldn't change.
Does anyone have a paperback copy of Silver on the Tree by Susan Cooper, published by Simon & Schuster? 'Cause in my copy, page 25 was left blank, and if someone could provide a scan or something, I'd REALLY like to know what happens between pages 24 and 26.
EDIT: Never mind, I checked out a copy from the library that DID have the missing page. So... problem solved.
Aanchir and I went and watched The Golden Compass yesterday with a couple of friends. If you want my opinion, I say it's definitely worth watching. I only read the book (and its two sequels) at the beginning of this week, but that in no way lessened my liking of the movie. It managed to stay relatively true to the book while glancing over some of the touchy religious subjects and rearranging things to better fit it to the medium of film. In addition, the acting was good and the characters we
I'm going to see a ballet version of Edward Scissorhands today at the Kennedy Center. It's gonna be AWESOME.
I decided it was about time to post something else in this blog.
