I showed one of my animated films in Art class today, and my teacher suggested that I take Animation instead of Photography for my AS levels. Exciting isn't it?
I'll add some links to a couple of my films soon, as long as Google Video is allowed.

'What's happened to the Iron Blog' I hear you cry. Well, I don't really, but I had to get your attention somehow. But anyway, I thought the Iron Blog was a bit boring, and being the Paranoid Perfectionist I am (am I?) I chose something slightly more aesthetically pleasing than a load of metal. Although metal is still great. You can use it to build buildings and bridges and bicycles and lots of other things beginning with 'b' and all the other letters of the alphabet as well. So there.
However
I do feel rather like blogging just the sake of blogging, instead of advertising. I suppose I'd best talk about my vaguely interesting life, or something.
So I started uni a few weeks ago. Graphic Design. Class of 20 students, ranging from me (18 years old) to Chris (30-something years young). It's actually pretty cool, as we make such an interesting group. We went on a trip to Brighton as an icebreaker, and needless to say, it was absolute win. We gathered together into little groups on the
BBC 41! *screams loudly*
My life is sooooooo busy at the moment - my mum's ill, my sister's expecting another baby any day now, my niece will be coming to stay while the baby is born, my graphics coursework is due in tomorrow, I have to go to hospital for a blood test, I need to book an appointment for my re-immunisations, and I need to enter BBC 41!
*Takes a deep breath* Anyway, what will my entry be? I have a plan. What better way to make an entry that could be a set, than make an entry
I've given up on my BBC 45 entries, because I am just not inspired enough. My liking for Bionicle seems to have turned suicidal, which is rather inconvenient. However, I've got a Bionicle something planned that should hopefully refresh my creativity - at the moment, I'm calling it 'Project Apocalypse', because I cannot be bothered to think of a better name, and it actually fits rather well.
It's interesting, though not that interesting, to note that this idea came instantly from picking up a
I'm in an artistic mood, which is good. I made a MOC this morning - nothing too special, but I like it. I wasted the rest of the day looking through the films I've made, and sorting out photos. Aren't photos wonderful? So many memories, and I'd like to share some of them with you.
My old best friend was called Chris. He's a few months younger than me, and I'm proud that we once called each other 'brother', just like Toa. I first met him on my first day of school ever, and we clicked instantly
It had to happen. Characters in books can change considerably throughout the course of the book.
I tried making the shading more obvious this time; last time it was a bit too subtle. Enjoy.
Because I'm feeling nice, I'll give you some backstory. This guy is Daanikai, an elite swordsman. He's sent out on one particularly dangerous mission, accompanied by an experimental lifeform - a 'robot' powered by magic. Near the end of the book he gets his arm biten off, and the 'robot' manages to
No silly, not forever. I'm going to Scout Camp on friday, and I won't be back until August 6th. And, obviously, I won't have access to BZP during that time. So you're all rid of me for ages, yay!
Wish me luck...this'll be my first proper camp as a leader... *cries*

If this actually works, I'll be quite amazed.
The Icra, we have things to discuss. Great, wondrous things.
If you don't know what the Icra is, then don't worry, you'll find out soon enough.

I did it! I CGified a pic in Paintshop Pro!
I can hardly believe it. I've been trying so many different programs to CG art, and now I've finally got the hang of it. The pic is the main character of my up and coming third novel, btw.
Enjoy,

Remember the Systematic Project? Well, here are some updates. My parents have been away for a week or so, so naturally the whole house has been consumed with Lego building.
My living room, filled with bits of railway. And three trays of Bionicle parts, if you look carefully. What Bionicle MOCs am I making? You'll have to wait and see.
A sort of beachy scene.
The station. Hasn't changed much.
Mrs Bristow's Folly, converted into a water tower.
A pleasant foresty scene.
Proof I haven't
I had a great idea for my entry, and I nearly finished it...but now I've had an idea that is better. Far, far better. Better on account of large mandible-thingys, staring red eyes, and the pure awesomeness that comes from a Manta Ray. Note the capitalisation, cos rays are the most awesomest things ever.
However, I'm not sure that I can pull it off. I'm not sure that I have the skills to make something large and flat...and still make it look good. I make titans, mainly...so it's a challenge.
Ok, here we go.
1. All of my coursework for Art, Graphics, and Multimedia is due in on the 14th May. I think I'm just about on track with that, I just need to be bothered to actually work on it. Which leads nicely on to...
2. Depression. Recently, I've been feeling almost suicidally depressed, as absolutely nothing in my life seems to be working right now. My laptop is still not mended, so I haven't been able to write any more of my novels, so I'm irritated. My friends are getting annoyed wi
We were really bored in Art class today, so I started doodling, and came up with a random cartoon character:
Fat Fishy is fed so much cake and chocolate that he can barely fit inside his fishbowl.
Here's an animated version, which might take a moment to load.
If anyone can guess how I drew and animated it, I'll be impressed. I'll give you a clue: I don't use Flash at all.
Never let a Scout cook you sausages.
My Scout troop were doing firelighting today, and attempted to cook sausages, to no avail. The one they presented to me was completely inedible - black on the outside, and uncooked inside. The fact that it had been dropped on the floor several times didn't really help either.
On a side note, school was quite interesting today; I helped teach an Art class, although they failed dismally in drawing the lovely laminated leaves that were provided. Oh well
Serenikiaiaikia left this for you, dears. x
"Obviously I don't always look like that...but we had a nice little Matrix injoke going on at Uni, and we all know how much you love me, so yeah.
Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen."

I only have two weeks until all of my work for Graphics, Multimedia, and Art is due in. I'm just about on track, but I literally have no more free time. Just to let you know. I've got several great ideas for MOCs though, so expect a load after May 14th, when I have no more work.
Yup, no more work. Entire days to MOC and write and draw and compose and animate and sleep...
Now, don't expect to see me around for the next two weeks. Now, off to work on Graphics...

Well, it was rather good. Some of it was awful, as expected, but the general awesomeness more than makes up for it. The Fallen's character was majorly disappointing, but then Jetfire was unexpectedly fantastic.
Also, inspiration for bio-mechanical-esque characters? Yay!
