How I Feel

I like art. You may or may not have noticed. But it's true.   I like expressing myself through art. You cannot do that at school. You have to make art that will get you a good grade. The examiner doesn't care whether you merely made something to express yourself or not.   But I do it anyway.   I hope to be using my blog more like a blog now - like a diary. Hopefully, that'll help me a lot.   I can hope.   -Seran

Hmm

Do you ever get that feeling that there's something really important that you have to do, but you don't know what it is?   Sunset   :: Current Mood::   -Seran

Hello

Good evening dears.   Would you believe it, I was sitting in my tea shop the other day, when a giant swirly vortex thingamajig opened up and swallowed the whole shop! I was most amazed. Then it chlomped us back here. Apparently, that was the Rift belonging to that nice young man, Seranakakai. Or something like that. He left a note saying that he was going away for a short while, and he needed someone to take his place. Mocking people, or something like that. Mentioned barnacles too. Perhaps he'

Heartbroken

In my previous entry, I explained that I'd found someone that I really liked (who I shall call 'M'). I finally told M how I feel about them today, and it was awful. M doesn't think that we can be more than friends, because they've already found someone else. It was so painful to hear.   We're going to talk again, but suddenly I feel worse.   I should also mention that this is only half the story. I can't discuss all of it on BZP.   -Seran

Happy

I figured I'd best blog about my birthday at some point.   It was good. I had a couple of family members around, but most of the day was spent writing. Which is what I wanted to do, so that's good. I only got two actual presents - a DVD and a shirt, but quite a bit of money, which is nice. I saw Order of the Phoenix and went out for dinner, and I saw several nice guys so that's all good. And today I bought a few more shirts - I debated for a while about getting a dark pink one, similar to one

Happiest I've Been In Years

So my life hasn't been too great recently. That doesn't matter any more. I was talking to 'M', and...he suggested that we could give things another go.   We're going on a date.   ::Current mood ::   -Seran

Hapori Ex Machina

A suspicious little link.   BTW, this might just be my last Bionicle MOC ever. I'm in the mood to give it all up.   :: Current Mood ::   -Seran

Hapori Change Of Plan Tohu

Ok, so my previous idea was not working. It just didn't look right, at all. So, I've given it a good deal of though, and I've decided to try and capture a different side of our omnipotent mascot. It will be more of a sculpture than anything, and it's going to be one of those fiendishly difficult if-it-works-it-will-be-awesome-but-if-it-doesn't-work-it-will-be-awful kind of entries.   It might even have a bit of a Proto Manta type feel to it. Or even a bit of a Proto Manta in it. In fact, if it

Hallows That Are Deathly

I simultaneously love and hate this book. Hermione is now my favourite character - the way she uses magic now she's of age is just fantastic. It made me laugh aloud when reading for the first time in ages. However, I was disappointed with the ending. Completely disappointed. There was so much potential there, but it never really climaxed into anything spectacular, in my humble opinion.   And don't get me started on the epilogue.   -Seran

Guess What Seran Found

That awesome music from the Mask of Light teaser trailer. Yes.   The full track, obviously, not just the 20 seconds or so from the actual teaser.   Also, if I abandoned Makuta for the moment and built other MOCs, would you guys all cry, be happy, or not care?

Great Moc Idea

I've had a great idea for a MOC for a whle now, and since I've had the morning off school, I've finally started building it. I don't want to spoil the surprise, but let's just say that the spine from my Proto Manta is very useful.   Oh yes.   -Seran

Gosh What An Exciting Life

I do feel rather like blogging just the sake of blogging, instead of advertising. I suppose I'd best talk about my vaguely interesting life, or something.   So I started uni a few weeks ago. Graphic Design. Class of 20 students, ranging from me (18 years old) to Chris (30-something years young). It's actually pretty cool, as we make such an interesting group. We went on a trip to Brighton as an icebreaker, and needless to say, it was absolute win. We gathered together into little groups on the

Goodbye

No silly, not forever. I'm going to Scout Camp on friday, and I won't be back until August 6th. And, obviously, I won't have access to BZP during that time. So you're all rid of me for ages, yay!   Wish me luck...this'll be my first proper camp as a leader... *cries*   -Seran

Focus Groups!

Ok, let's have a little bit of fun. After my Media Studies class today, where we looked at focus groups in detail, why not have a little focus group session?   Questions:   1. We've had tropical islands, cities, and underwater; where do you think Bionicle will go next?   2. Mata Nui - how do you picture him? White and gold? Royal red? Majestic blue? Sleek black and silver?   3. Assuming the placeholder for 2008 is true, the story will take place in a City in the Sky. Do you think the charac

Fear?

I think I've worked something out. I have a fear of dropping knives onto my feet.   I realised today, when I was loading stuff into our dishwasher. I picked up a large breadknife, and suddenly felt...well, terrified of dropping it. I kept getting a vision of me dropping it onto my foot, and slicing it open. Not particularly pleasant I know, but life's like that.   Yes, I'm scared of my mind too.   -Aero-

Fat Fishy

We were really bored in Art class today, so I started doodling, and came up with a random cartoon character:     Fat Fishy is fed so much cake and chocolate that he can barely fit inside his fishbowl.   Here's an animated version, which might take a moment to load.   If anyone can guess how I drew and animated it, I'll be impressed. I'll give you a clue: I don't use Flash at all.

Fantastic Thought-provoking Friday 3

Did anything exciting happen today? Well, we managed to evade getting homework in Media, and Art was vaguely amusing. I was helping in one of the lower year classes again, and one little boy called me 'sir'.   The highlight of my day.   -Seran

Fantastic Thought-provoking Friday 2

Never let a Scout cook you sausages.   My Scout troop were doing firelighting today, and attempted to cook sausages, to no avail. The one they presented to me was completely inedible - black on the outside, and uncooked inside. The fact that it had been dropped on the floor several times didn't really help either.   On a side note, school was quite interesting today; I helped teach an Art class, although they failed dismally in drawing the lovely laminated leaves that were provided. Oh well
