Entries in this blog

O:

I totally just finished reading BIONICLE Legends #11, and I so did not expect that. I never saw it coming.   *Hugs spoiler policy*   Takanuva's Blog makes so much of the book seemingly already read though.   ©1984-2008 Toaraga EAM

Sales Record Are Bogus

I probably should've mentioned this in my previous entry since this has to do with records but didn't.   Anyway, why does the movie industry make such a big deal about movies when they make such a larger amount of money compared to other movies released in the past. Well, of course they made more: ticket prices are higher now than even a few years ago. Tracking ticket sales should be done based on units sold, not overall gross. I understand the cost of making a movie has gone up, but flat-out

Seriously

Not staff anymore. I can't handle your requests, so please stop sending those PMs.   I had no idea my name was so recognizable as staff, even after stepping down. It's nice that people still think I'm on staff, but I'm not.   ©1984-2009 Toaraga EAM

Screen Captured Memories

I captured this in the blogs yesterday. Ignore the dates, and it's a short trip. Look at the dates, and someone came back before s/he left.   And now for some other pictures...   It's ironic goodness.   Memories... and there are like five members in that one name.   I think this one speaks for itself.   ©1984-2007 Toaraga EAM

Sometimes I Wonder...

And it's a good thing too.   Then there are times when I wander; those aren't so bad either.   ©1984-2008 Toaraga EAM

Dumb Luck > Skill

Okay, so that's not always true, but still...   Anyway, to those who remember the Rubik's Cube I was working on, I solved the thing yesterday. Before you ask, I didn't spend all my free time since writing that entry to try solving this thing; it was left setting for a few days. I didn't take it apart or use any kind of instructions either: I did it totally legit. For more fun, I mixed it up again (eyes closed for most of it) and solved it today.     ©1984-2008 Toaraga EAM

Things That Don't Exist

Status quo- The world changes its views too often for this to realistically exist. The only thing that's achieved by submitting to such a notion is thinking in stereotypes. If the status quo really did exist, things would be much more bleak than they really are, and history would not be that: history.   Fear of commitment- This is mostly applied to relationships, but in reality, whoever or whatever one dedicates his/her life or time to is what that person is committed to. It can be work, family

Spaghetti Sauce Smoothie

I got to have a wisdom tooth removed today, so for now I get to drink my food.   On the plus side, spaghetti sauce smoothie tastes great.   ©1984-2009 Toaraga EAM

It's Over 9,000!

9,001 that is; it's over 9,000.   Also, my Gamerscore.   Speaking of Gamerscore, I've had my XBox 360 for a year. Granted, there was about a couple weeks timeframe when I didn't, but it's still been over a year since this machine entered my domicile. And to think, one of the main games I got it for is delayed yet again until next year.   ©1984-2008 Toaraga EAM

Certification Achieved

As promised, I shall reveal a couple things I had in store. For two of my college courses, I was required to attempt a Microsoft Certification Exam. (To those who were wondering-- you know who you are-- this is the test I was talking about.) Well, here are the results:  (Personal info removed)   I am now certified in Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 and Microsoft Access 2007.   I guess that means I can now fall into the "over qualified" status for certain job searches.   And I must say I r

This Day In History

2008: Toaraga becomes Global Moderator.   I can't believe it's been a year already; so much time has passed.   If only I had something to celebrate the occasion... besides finals and finals prep. Then again, that's a terrible way to celebrate: by having tests.   ©1984-2009 Toaraga EAM

End With A Preposition

I've decided to end each sentence in this entry with a preposition.   For lunch today, I had cheese pizza, 7-Up, and somehow a preposition. I spent some time doing schoolwork on a computer, which has nothing to do with a preposition. For dinner, I had leftover pizza without a preposition.   Hey, I wasn't lying about a preposition.   ©1984-2008 Toaraga EAM (<-sign-off, not sentence, no preposition)

Silly Questions & The Replies That Might Annoy

Sometimes people ask some pretty stupid questions with obvious answers, so I think a list is in order of certain questions and replies to go with them.   1. To someone in a business on the phone: "Are you open?" Reply: "No, we're closed, but I'm locked in with no way out. Are you the locksmith returning my call?"   2. To someone in a store's uniform, wearing a name tag: "Do you work here?" Reply: "No, I'm actually the display model."   3. When someone answers his/her house phone: "Are you h

Birthday, Birthday, Birthday!

Yay, it's my birthday, and I even got the authentic topic. (I know it's authentic because it came with a certificate that at least looks official.) I'm not one to normally stand in the spotlight, but for today, I'll let the world revolve around me... metaphorically, of course: it actually revolves around the sun. (Just don't tell my ego: he hates to be corrected.)   I'm reminded of a poem:   Lots of ice cream, Lots of cake Lots of antacid For my stomach's sake. Send all your warm wishes S

Your Taxes Are Due!

Well, technically they're not, as today is simply the filing deadline for us United States citizen. Our taxes were (should have been) taken out throughout the course of the previous year.   So if you haven't so yet, get crackin' because those taxes don't pay themselves... or do they?   ©1984-2009 Toaraga EAM

Flu-bruary 29

So I spent my extra day of the year being sick and trying to sleep more than a few minutes at a time (if that can be called sleep). When my temperature was taken, it was 103 degrees Fahrenheit. I felt somewhat okay last night with a more reasonable temperature, but I'm still in the recover phase of the whole fun little trip.   So what did you do with your extra day?   ©1984-2008 Toaraga EAM
