The Death of Lhii Vakama's knees creaked as he slowly lowered himself onto the wooden log that served as his storytelling bench. Tahu's Suva dominated the dimly lighted background, the sparse burnt trees around it towering into an air mixed with ash. "Another story, Vakama?" The Turaga of Fire smiled knowingly. "Yes, Takua. Be sure to chronicle this one," he said. In the crowd, Aodhan coughed and raised his hand. Vakama paused before he began, motioning to the Lava Farmer. "I'm sorry t
-----Our alarms went off at 6:00. We snoozed it quite a bit, but by a little after 7:00 we went to Fast Eddy's for breakfast. We wanted to get a small sampling of breakfast goodies in anticipation of a late lunch outside of Fairbanks, and we ordered what we thought was going to be a small meal. We entertained the waitresses with our pre-coffee selves and ordered. What we did not know was that the Eddy's philosophy of Alaska-sized dinners would also be applied to their breakfasts. My two blu
After what seems like a decade of planning, I've finally become active in it. Now I will proceed to terrorize the forum along with Brickeens and VampireBohrok.
This has more or less become an annual thing to do on the Monday after BrickFair. In 2011, Brickeens and his dad toured various monuments and statues in the Capitol as well as part of the Air and Space Museum. In 2012, Zatth joined up with us as we went around the original Air and Space Museum and the Natural History Museum. So, BrickFair goers and fellow BZP members: who's willing and able to take a tour of Washington, D.C. sights on Monday, August 5th? (I wanted to put this out there well
Expanded from here, now updated with new verse.
BZP member 1: Set bashers never get old, huh?
BZPer 2: Nope.
BZPer 1: Ever feel like you wanna---
BZPer 2: Break into song?
BZPer 1: Yeah...

I've had this blog since a few months after I joined, and although I don't have eight full years of entries (I deleted many on the back end), there are still plenty of memories and hilarious moments in its many pages. To spare you the pain of trawling them, here's a list containing the best of the best. I request that no one comment in these entries. Wikipedia Has it All Wrong - 12/29/09 The Tale of the Toxic Waste Bunny - 05/03/10 -----the original Sumiki's Dad adventure Someone Had to Do I
Is the extra PM space, and by golly, do I ever need it. Now I'm at 50% instead of 99-100%. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO FILL IT UP AGAIN? *cue dramatic music*
You know how, a while back, I asked if people would read a comedy featuring my dad in the BIONICLE universe? It has begun. (that's a link) Features Sumiki's Dad (of course), as well as a few members of Team Farm Animals in the beginnings of a gripping adventure.
It all began with the idea for a short story, yet it spun into a full-blown comic tetralogy that took the Comedies forum by storm. Now, after four installments of eight chapters each, The Adventures of Sumiki's Dad has come to an end. The complete Adventures of Sumiki's Dad saga shall be printed and bound later this year. At least one of these copies will go to Portalfig (the Blogarithm Contest #9 winner). Where to from here? Let's just say the G&T forum should look out.
I rescind my earlier statements about how awful the idea seemed. It looks ... pretty good? Only so much can be discerned from the trailer, but the animation style looks pretty cool. Also, quite a cast of actors they've got there.
My grandmother is O.K. In fact, there were not as many nerve endings where they had to operate, so she'll be doing much better when we go down there tomorrow.
So yeah. Ten days left to enter Blogarithm Contest #4: Fresh Salad! In two months we've gotten ... one entry. One. If this doesn't change soon, I may have to cancel it. Don't make me have to do that. Please. ;_;
Because apparently the pent-up creative energy which I expected to unleash on my parts when I returned from that insane long road trip just wasn't there.
A consultation with the oral surgeon this morning ended with us being informed that our insurance didn't cover anything in "pediatric dentistry." Never mind that I'm eighteen and that this operation was covered literally yesterday when we called to check. Fortunately the latest X-ray shows that my second and third molars have managed to lodge themselves in such a way that they'll stay in their current positions indefinitely. I'll have to wait at least a year to get the teeth out.
