We had a filling breakfast of eggs Benedict far surpassed last night's dinner in terms of flavor. The storm system that had pasted us last night was still in the area, but had moved past far enough for us to make good time west across North Dakota. Our first stop of the day was the geographical center of North America at a town called Rugby. We took US 2 all the way there. We saw a bunch of red-winged blackbirds. It was raining intermittently and gusted indefinitely. The record rains North Dak
I'm sorry, I must have missed the part where the Star Trek fans went rabid in the streets and started demanding their show back.
You know why?
Because he wasn't talking about that.
(Meh, I might be a little late to the party, but I just want that out there off my chest.)
This is something I've wanted to do for a long time now: Year One is moving to a topic!
Yes, you heard right. Not many separate topics, but one topic. There are many reasons for this, but it's mainly not to overextend and have topics die.
However, there are a few kinks I've been wanting to sort out.
1) A proper image! I do not have GIMP, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or any other of those image-editing doohickeys, and it's time to stop making do and get a splashy header! More info coming
Our first stop of the day was Scotts Bluff. Because of a scraping noise that we had heard emanating from somewhere within the vicinage of the front wheels, we took the shuttle up there. The clouds looked a little more clear so we pulled into the Lake Louise parking lot again to see what we could see. We saw a bit more of the mountain-lake scenery than yesterday, wit
iBZP Live prizes are on my table, about to ship pending stamp attachments.
(For those who don't know it was a podcast episode during Christmas where I gave out prizes over the air.)
-----Our alarms went off at 7:00 in the morning, and by eight we were out of our cabin and on the road to the Yukon border. The road out of Toad River led towards more epic mountain peaks, yet somehow the road felt even more desolate than yesterday. We went directly towards the mountain peak that had dominated the sunset last evening and saw ever more incredibly breathtaking vistas as we kept going. -----We dropped down as the road went around Muncho Lake, a mile wide and seven miles across,
