Tuesday Tablescraps - 9/16/14 - Green Flame

Some of you may remember an old spaceship I made that I called the Purple Flame. (Its topic has long since died.) Well, I came into the possession of a few green flame parts last BrickFair ...     | |

Tuesday Tablescraps - 8/26/14 - Miniland Hatpile

A collaboration between Pablo (Zatth) and I at this year's BFVA for the Mini-Con. I did the hats and we both scrounged the vendors for the rest of the parts (although he came up with more of the body parts than I did).

Tuesday Tablescraps - 8/21/12 - Heavily Armored Wasp

I realized that they still sold the old lime-green ball joints on Pick-a-Brick, and so I ordered some. This was built one night while Brickeens was sleeping.     | |   Also, I've noticed that older old-style ball joints seem to hold axles better than newer old-style ball joints. Half the time, I was MOCing, and the other half, I was retrieving the wings from the floor.

Tuesday Tablescraps - 8/19/14 - Kanohi Zatth

| |   In addition to my Kongu Mahri, I've picked up a number of Zatths over the years at various BrickFairs. Four of the five I used in this MOC, an homage to everyone's favorite Forum Assistant newbie, The Zatthman.   The red arm represents the gauntlet that he has worn at every BrickFair that I can remember, and the little weapon in his other arm is supposed to be a Star-Lord-esque weapon that he made at this past 'Fair.   #teamfarmanimals

Tuesday Tablescraps - 8/13/13 - The Hinklebot

The Tuesday Tablescraps make their triumphant return with the Hinklebot, a fusion mech that appeared at BrickFair VA '13, only to have its pilot replaced by a Kevin Hinkle minifigure.     | | | | Last semester's schedule meant that I rarely - if ever - had free Tuesdays. I've still built stuff, but I haven't posted them, much to my regret.

Tuesday Tablescraps - 8/12/14 - Another Chro Original

Alternate View   The Tuesday Tablescraps return with a MOC that Chro gave me on the last day of BrickFair VA 2014. It's a truly amazing MOC, worthy of the title of "ABS Sculpture." My gratitude for his generosity cannot be overstated.

Tuesday Tablescraps - 5/8/12 - Purple Ninja

Barring unforeseen circumstances, this will be the last edition of Tuesday Tablescraps for a number of weeks, for I will not have access to my parts for that length of time. (More on this later in the week.)   Anyway, this tablescrap was an experiment in effectively utilizing my cache of old purple parts. I realized that I had a bunch of angled plates that went one direction but none of their counterparts - thus leading to the lower leg armor.     | |

Tuesday Tablescraps - 5/15/12 - The Original Sumiki

I know I said that last week was probably the last tablescrap for a while, but that turned out not to be the case. I can say with 100% certainty, however, that this one will be the last edition for at least three weeks.   Since, due to circumstances, I do not have any newer tablescraps to show, here's a little thing from memory lane: the first MOC I ever built, dating to mid-2004, found stuffed in the very back of a shelf. (I distinctly remember that another MOC named the "Toa of Sushi" went alo

Tuesday Tablescraps - 4/3/12 - Flammenwerferjüngeres

... or, Flamethrower Junior. Ironically, this tablescrap was never intended to carry a flamethrower - this entire MOC formed solely as an extension of a quirky leg design using one of the parts featured on November 8th of last year.     | | | |

Tuesday Tablescraps - 4/17/12 - Lime Beetle

Yes, I know only about half of it's any good, but I "upgraded" the Tablescrap I was to post into a full-on MOC, to be posted in the BBC forum. So you people are stuck with this. Bwahaha.     |

Tuesday Tablescraps - 3/6/12 - Seeker

This is the sixth month that I've been doing these ... wow.   I have no "new" tablescraps to show, so I had to dig up an older one. Next week I'll have to take some new pictures ...   The armor on top of his head is optional and easily removable. I was going for an armored hat look - I don't think I succeeded, really, but it was just a test anyway.     | |   At least the color layering is decent.

Tuesday Tablescraps - 3/20/12 - Microphone

Appeared at BrickFair 2011. At one point it was grabbed out of my hand by Black Six, who began to sing something into it. Fortunately, the MOCrophone (see what I did there) is okay after that highly traumatizing experience.     |   Did I mention its virtual indestructibility? Because it's virtually indestructible.

Tuesday Tablescraps - 3/13/12 - Skyscraper

I'm talking micro-microscale system this week. Like last week's tablescrap, it's something that's been on my desk for far longer than I liked ...   The top of this thing was just plain tedious.     | |

Tuesday Tablescraps - 2/28/12 - Glatorian Kahi

I don't even remember how long this has been around on my desk - probably, in some form, ever since I got the Cendox. Anyway, it's a Glatorian version of fellow TTV podcast member Kahinuva.   And yes, I'm fully aware the color layering is hideous.     | |

Tuesday Tablescraps - 2/21/12 - Spearhead

What, I never said I'd stop doing these.   Brickshelf comes back, just in time for another spaceship - one that's alternately known as "Discovery One with huge fins."     | | |   This thing was danged hard to photograph.

Tuesday Tablescraps - 2/14/12 - Atomic Lime

It's time to get these going again.   This one was inspired by a spacecraft (read: jumble of Vahki staffs) that I saw on Flickr. Even I felt like I could do better than it, so after a bit of tinkering ...     | |

Tuesday Tablescraps - 12/6/11 - Thunder And Escorts

Good thing I didn't forget this week - I didn't even realize it was Tuesday until about ten minutes ago.   Have some tablescraps.     Thunder | The Escorts   Named "Thunder" after its trilateral conceptual ancestor, the Lightning, but IMO it's much better. Escorts intended to be space-and-atmosphere fighter jet things.

Tuesday Tablescraps - 12/4/12 - Toaraga

December already? What happened to the rest of the year? ;_;   This was not intended to be a tribute to Toaraga, the former Global Moderator - is just sort of happened that way. I messed around with some parts, said "oh, that looks like a hunchback" and made a really big Turaga that I thought looked a bit like a Toa.   Iunno. It all made sense in my head.     | |

Tuesday Tablescraps - 12/20/11 - Kaxium Alternate Model

It's Tuesday once again, folks, and the penultimate Tuesday of the year. Happy (slightly early) Hanukkah to the Jewish BZPers out there.   I have taken time out of a war waged upon the clutter in the house (and more specifically my room) to post an older tablescrap from about a year or so ago. (Posting a newer one is nigh on impossible, considering the general semi-reorganization of things. I do have newer ones, though!)     | |   I'd also like to note that while some of the outer parts (ob

Tuesday Tablescraps - 12/18/12 - Abstract Duckling

*insert screaming duckling fangirls here*   This is more of a legitimate tablescrap than many of the recent ones. I was deconstructing something yellow and put a bunch of leftover parts together. After a while I realized that it looked like an abstract duckling.     | |
