Relatively regular events:
4th - Quadrantid meteor shower reaches it's highest rate of meteors per hour
5th - Moon passes just south (7 degrees) of Venus at midnight (night of 4th, morning of 5th) - Moon passes even closer (0.5 degrees) to Antares at 8 PM.
6th - Venus passes 6 degrees north of Antare
Ducky O'Dalek, a distinguished member of BZPower recently sent me a PM with this little bit of information. Something like this happens once in a century! Also, I've seen the comet mentioned in that article, and it looks amazing. Use the star chart in the article to find it.

So I'm leaving tomorrow morning to South Dakota for our family vacation. I'll be gone for 5 days, and I don't think I'll be able to get to a computer at all during that time. I hate being away from BZPower for that long, but I don't have much of a choice.

I've personally never been a big believer of Bigfoot, but apparently some guys in Georgia (state, not country) found several Bigfoot, one of which was dead. An autopsy is to be performed on the dead Bigfoot, which will probably be used as proof as to whether or not Bigfoot actually exists.

I got really excited about it, since I love puns.

Comet Hale-Bopp in March of 1997? It was one of the biggest, brightest comets in the history of Earth. I read about it the other day, something about it still being partially visible. Turns out that it's just past Pluto's orbit right now, and is only visible with large telescopes. Anyway, I remember going up to the school one night with my Dad for a basketball game, and Comet Hale-Bopp was high in the southern sky. I haven't seen a comet like that since.

So I've been thinking about buying an Xbox sometime in the next year, mainly so that I'll be able to play Halo 3 with a few of my classmates while we're all in different colleges. However, I think it would almost be a waste to just get an Xbox for only one game, but I've never really checked out all the games for Xbox. Does anyone know any good games that they may recommend once I do get one?
