Just finished watching it and there's one thing that got me
"the Could-of-Been-King with his army of Meanwhiles and Neverweres."
I want to see these guys so bad, even if there in one of the books.
The line between self destructive behavior and sensation seeking is much the same as the line between addiction and enjoyment.
Both are razor thin and imposable to see unless you've fallen over that blued line. What makes things even more complicated is that everyone's threshold is different.
With some people all it takes is one and they're addicted, but I personal know someone who's able to smoke around a pack and a half a day but really can (and has) stopped for months.
