I haven't been great at this whole blog thing lately. Mostly because I went and made a real blog where I can type up thoughts and feelings on issues I'm not allowed to discuss on BZPower. You know, my religious thoughts.
So, here's some random life updates and such! I'm rebuilding my music library after having to wipe my HD a month or so ago Also, apparently my computer's video/graphics card isn't my friend I'm really tired of school Writing case studies isn't fun "Where the Wild Things Are"

I love taking terrible photos of WIPs. It makes me laugh on the outside, and on the inside.
So there's nothing terribly special going on here, nothing ground-breaking. But I just wanted to build something, so I have been.
Switch out the blue for black, and the Miru for a Hau, and have it built a month ago, and it would have been my Black Six MOC for the contest. But, I didn't have time for that, so now it's something else.
So Brickfair was lots of fun! And if you weren't there, you missed out on the best time of your life. But it's okay. That's why I take photos, right?

Last year Vayland Dragon won the Best Bionicle trophy. This year, it was Transtech Shockwave.
The pieces I got from Six. I chose the Miru originally (not a hard choice!), and then through a moment of awesome, convinced Smeag to give me his piece too. I traded that in for this Gresh blade. I would love to have two of them, but Andrew was a stickler about those pieces! Haha, Andrew's awesome.

Story time!
So, during the evening ceremonies at Brickfair Saturday, they gave away door prizes. One of them was Tuma. When the box image popped up on the screen, we, your lovely and illustrious BZPower staff, cheered, clapped, and generally made sure it was known we love BIONICLE. Todd Webb, the amazing and gracious host of Brickfair, replied quickly with "That's about as LEGO as Lincoln Logs." Because AFOLs hate BIONICLE,

Tonight I leave Stillwater for Tulsa. Because tomorrow morning I fly out to BRICKFAIR from Tulsa International Airport.
Brickfair is TOMORROW. And as BZP is back up, I'll do my best to throw you guys some photos now and then.

Can someone explain to me why so many people seem to hate, and indeed, want to be completely rid of, the Huki Hewkii/ Maku Macku flirtation and interest from the MNOLG? Same with the Jala Jaller/ Hahli flirtations from the Bohrok cutscenes?
They added so much characterization, gravitas, and for lack of a better term, humanity to these characters. Why do so many people want to be rid of them?
