Transformers The Movie.

I just spent three hours reading TF boards and the responses to the new movie preview figures.   Oh, the humanity!   Thank you Lord for the Bionicle fandom. We are so cohesive and loving compared to the Transfans.   I wish I wasn't part of both of them, though.

Kind Of A Big Deal

I get to photograph a wedding on Saturday! And I'm getting paid for it!   This is the first major professional work I've gotten to do, and I'm really thrilled about it. I've done some smalltime portrait work and some small event work, but this is going to pay literally ten-times those, and it's going to be something I can show to people and be like "hey, let me shoot your wedding, I'm a professional."   Exciting days!

Who.

Who is Joss Whedon and why am I supposed to be excited he's going to direct The Avengers?   (I fully expect regretting this question.)

Got it framed

At NYCC, Julie had an extra gift for the three of us who had been under NDA with her for several months:     It is signed by the designers, and is apparently one out of ten total posters printed of this image. We finally got a custom frame for it, and now it's all pretty!   Just in time to get packed up to move to California, lol.

Yesterday

Yesterday this little red mask from 2010, but designed to look like the one from 2001 appeared next to my PE bar. Oh man, has it really been nine years??

Sacrifice

For those (few, I'm sure) who care, the following entry contains spoilers for the recently released Star Wars: Legacy of the Force: Sacrifice novel.   You have been warned.   (Also, for those of you who will read the book, and don't want spoilers, I advise you not to open to the last page in the book. Unlike most Legacy books, there's no 'sneak peek!' of the next one. The last page of the book is the last page of the novel. And the last line is the revealing of Jacen's Sith name. So if you wan

Blog Headquarters

So, you may have noticed (and probably didn't) that we have updated and revamped BlogAlert's Blog HQ.   It is now far more streamlined, with a simple list of rules and guidelines at the very top for your viewing pleasure.   New rules will now be introduced in a new entry, and immediately added into the main rules and guidelines entry. After a time deemed appropriate, the notice will be deleted, and it will be assumed you can read the main rules entry. This will help keep the Blog HQ clutter fr

Life, Or Something Like It.

I've been meaning to do this for awhile, but I keep forgetting. Anyway, this is a very different semester for me, so I thought it was time to update on my life a little bit.   So, for the past four and a half years, I've been a college student living in a college town, away from home, and sometimes not sucking at the whole college experience. Last semester, I even became the head of a House Church on campus with twenty or so members. Being a college student has been one of my defining character

More Brickfair Stuff.

Last year Vayland Dragon won the Best Bionicle trophy. This year, it was Transtech Shockwave.   The pieces I got from Six. I chose the Miru originally (not a hard choice!), and then through a moment of awesome, convinced Smeag to give me his piece too. I traded that in for this Gresh blade. I would love to have two of them, but Andrew was a stickler about those pieces! Haha, Andrew's awesome.

Oh Man.

Today I did something so grown up!   I booked a flight, and paid for the tickets!   I am now officially ready for Brickfair.   Well, there is that BBC 50 MOC, I suppose.....

Curl Up.... And Die?

I don’t like the steps I took to get to look into your deepest feelings And I don’t like the place I’m in headspace within the hardwood and the ceiling Cause if I’m restless than why do I I want nothing but to rest my soul And I don’t get this and I know why You see sometimes things are just beyond control   But I don’t mind but I’m not surprised to find that you do I’m not surprised to find that you do I know you do And I feel fine But I know the same does not apply to you I know the

What it is

I'm alive! And with all my teeth still in my head! Folks will have to find game tokens elsewhere. Oh well!   There's been probably the biggest amount of personal stress and change in parts of my life ever the past few months, and I've been focusing so fully on that I had stepped away from BZPower for the last several months. The stress and changes all worked themselves out in the best possible ways recently, but I debated continuing to be stepped away as I've recently felt much less welcome by a

Interview

Went to my job interview today. I feel pretty great about it, especially after the interviewer let me know they were looking to hire three associates, and not just one. So the odds are more in my favor than I had realized. I was also told that I would get to start out at a higher pay grade than many, because I have muchos experience de customer service.   And I'll know by Friday. Fingers crossed.

What, I Don't Use Instant Messaging

DeeVee: (12:13:22 AM): Also, I really don't think a LOST story would work for a story that is attempting to show a glimpse of what a wizarding school in Salem is like. Nukaya: (12:13:36 AM): well.... (12:13:55 AM): ok, so the wizarding school is on an island.... Dang it all, Oklahoma! Make up your ever-lovin' mind!   It was seventy-eight degrees Fahrenheit yesterday (Sunday).   This morning it snowed. Snowed!   Sheer absurdity!
