Well, tomorrow is A-Level results day and for the first time, I'm genuinely terrified of results, as these will determine whether I get into university or not. Oh well, nothing I can do about it now. Not really sure where the summer went. Hardly did anything, and did pretty much nothing of what I was planning to do. Why does that always happen?
Why can't it just be rainy and miserable like England's supposed to be? The heat was bad enough yesterday to get in the way of enjoying The Dark Knight Rises, but today it's just horrible. Won't be able to do anything worthwhile at all. I really hate the heat >.>
Well, with my dad working in Russia and my mum on holiday, it's gonna be a month or so of just me and the cat. This will be great - a whole month of peace and quiet, which is just what I need I shall also take this opportunity to listen to the music my mum hates really loudly while I can. Had my Sociology exam today and am now official done with exams. Forever. Well, until university. It went quite well, but the 33 mark question was all kinds of nasty. Well, the first of the albums that I ordered arrived today and it's so good that I had to change my wallpaper. It'll be nice having this guy staring at me everytime I close a window. ...And just changed it again after finding this one. I have been listening to Unto The Locust a lot lately and this one looks nice. Maybe I'll just have it cycle between those two.
Had my Sociology retake of the Mass Media unit today, and it went well. Was really worried about this one, but it turned out alright. Got easy questions, but would have liked if the they allowed to talk about Marxism more, as the main question was mostly Postmodernism vs Pluralism. Still, not complaining. Had my second exam today - History. It went quite good, the questions were great. The first one I chose asked us to assess whether taxation was the main cause of economic rebellions in Tudor England, which was pretty straight forward and I made some good points as to the reason it wasn't the case. Why is it that all the shows I really want to go to are always at the worst date for me? Refused are doing a show in a London club in August, which is great because bands like Refused really shine in smaller venues and I'd love to go see the show. However, it's on the last day of the 2012 Olympics. That is the one evening that I would really wish to not go outside. Going into school for 4-5 hours of English revision before my exam on Monday. Should be some quality Hamlet time. And after that, I'll be going to the cinema with a couple of friends to see MIB III, which I'm really looking forward to, having been a fan of the first two since I was a kid. So, my cat swallowed a sewing needle that my mum left lying around in her room. Fortunately, it got stuck in the cat's throat and didn't enter the digestive system, so it should be alright as the vet removes it overnight. Close call though, hope my mum learns a lesson from that. So today, roughly two weeks after we handed in our final coursework, he asks us to make sure that the question combinations we picked are allowed by the exam board, because the coursework is being sent off for moderation on Friday. Wonder what would have happened if someone actually didn't check that when they first picked their questions and only found out today that they're not allowed to do the two they chose.

I sense an impending feeling of guilt tomorrow when I realise that I wasted my four-day weekend getting almost no work done and instead spent it listening to a bunch of albums and watching a couple of movies and some stand-up comedy DVDs. I really need to get my stuff together and get ready for my exams. But of course tomorrow will be wasted by going to see The Avengers. Can't wait. I made sure to avoid all the trailers, as I always do, so that nothing is spoiled for me.
Well, I suppose it's time for another very short and not very good album review. Awoken Broken - Primal Rock Rebellion (2012) Awoken Broken is the debut album by Primal Rock Rebellion, which is a collaboration between Iron Maiden's guitarist Adrian Smith and the now disbanded SikTh's vocalist Mikee Goodman, which in some ways is a rather strange collaboration as the two bands play very different music, but it works, and it works very well. From the opening track, this album is refreshing
Good to see the forums back. Big thanks to all the staff that worked on the problem. Didn't really do too much during the few days BZP was offline. Went to see Paradise Lost on Sunday, which was an absolutely brilliant show, and spent most of the rest of the time studying and sleeping. Also, didn't vote in the London mayor elections. At least there's only about one and a half months until my summer begins and I can just chill out for a couple of months.
Well, handed in my final English and History coursework pieces today, and it feels good to have that done. Sadly, no time to relax, got to prepare for exams now. *Sigh* Can't wait for the summer, although I'll probably spend it being worried about results and whether I'll get into university...
