Its An Arms Race

I just bought my ticket for the upcoming Underoath/Taking Back Sunday concert in Birmingham. I personally can't wait to go. The last time I tried to see Underoath, they sold out before I was able to buy a ticket.   My brother should be coming home tomorrow, too. I visited him today with a few friends. He seems fine, though it's got to be horribly boring in that room. He's got a bunch of tests to make up for missing 4 days of shool, though. :0   I've been terribly bored in general lately. Not

It's Over

As Spring Break draws to a close, I must say that this year has been one of the best spring breaks ever. At first I only planned to go to Six Flags, but then my mom surprised us with a trip to the beach.   The house we stayed in was awesome, too. Perfect for 3-4 people. Plus, the friends of ours who own it said we can go back whenever we would like, just as long as they know ahead of time. The weather was nice and all too. It was interesting to just drive around and look at all the stuff.

It's December?!

Just hit me that we only have 30 more days left in the year 2006. I don't know about you, but this year has been a great year. Next year should be even better, because I'll be a senior next year! But not to get ahead of myself...   Ungh, Christmas vacation starts in about two weeks, and we all know what that means. Exams. Normally, I'd be exempt from all of my exams, but as we have a not-so-good teacher for Algebra 2 and Chemistry, I don't know if I'll be exempt or not. Of course, the only thin

It's About Time

Finally! Spring Break is here!   Tomorrow is going to freaking rock. I haven't been to Six Flags in about a year and a half or so, and I'm very anxious.   My mom told me not to plan anything for Wed, Thurs, and Fri, but she didn't tell me what we are going to do. My guess is a stay down at the beach or something.   I'm glad this break is here. I don't think I could have handled another week of school.

It Will Change Your Life

Saw this in a grocery store in Virginia. I just had to get a picture and text it to all of my friends...figured I'd post it here too. Are you readY?   Dr. Pepper Bar-B-Q Sauce   And remind me I need to change the size of pictures my phone takes. 1200 x 1600 lolz.

Iron Man 2

Aaaahhhh so good.   I honestly thought it was much better than the first one. The action was top-notch, along with the acting. The addition of Mickey Rourke, Scarlet Johansson, and Don Cheadle were excellent choices. I actually laughed when Don Cheadle first appears on the screen and he says "Yes, it's me. I'm here; deal with it." For those who don't know, many people were 'outraged' that Don Cheadle replaced Terrance Howard as the character James Rhodes. Jon Favreau also plays a role, in addi

Iron Man

There are two reasons why this is the best reviewed movie of 2008 so far:   1) Because it's only May and 2) because it is a decent movie.   The movie started out by basically telling the story of how Iron Man was created (a la Batman Begins), which, I thought, was a good genesis for this hero.   The story wasn't as complex as I thought it should have been, but I did manage to get "sucked" into the movie which made it pass by quickly. There also weren't as many explosions and fight scenes as

Inventory

I went and saw 1408 today, and there isn't much to write home about. It wasn't spectacular, it didn't suck, it was just "ok." Of course, I was never one to really be scared at horror movies, but I did jump once. Most scenes were too predictable, though. But I love it when you hear this one chick in the theatre give out a bloodchurning scream. Those always make me laugh, for some reason...   After the movie Ashley and I had to head back to work to work on the inventory. I was assigned CDs (eaaas

Interview

For any of you that don't know, I haven't had a job since May of 2009. I have been actively searching, however. I have sent online applications to Toys'r'us, a local Cafe, Booksamillion, Target, Best Buy, and Gamestop. I haven't heard from any of them. It's been a somewhat depressing ordeal.   Just the other day a friend of mine called me and said she new someone that is opening up a yogurt shop in town. Of course, I was eager to jump on the opportunity. After I found out my dentist appointmen

Injustice

On Saturday, a handful of my friends came over to my apartment. One of them brought along newly released Injustice: Gods Among Us. We began playing the story and much to our surprise were immediately intrigued by the depth of the story a (for fighting game, at least). Seeing your favorite super heroes become super villains isn't necessarily the most unique idea, but the story is blockbuster-y enough to warrant the 4 to 5 hours straight it took to finish the story line. On more than one occasion

Inception!

What. A. Movie!   Inception has certifiably placed Christopher Nolan in the slot of my favorite film Director. With the success of both of the new Batman movies, Nolan is able to both write and direct a completely new story that is entirely gripping and entertaining.   The concept behind the film may be difficult to understand at first. Essentially, its the world's biggest "Yo dawg", if you can pardon the meme usage, to ever be created. The main characters are able to project their selves in

In Review

2009 was a great year for me. In review, here are some of the reasons why I thought this year was awesome:   - Finished my first year of college - Met one of my closest friends - Drove by myself to San Antonio to see said friend graduate from Basic Military Training - Went on a youth trip to Orlando, Florida; while there, I went to Walt Disney World for the first time (okay, second, but first was when I was about 2 years old) - Went on a family vacation to Williamsburg, Virginia, probably m

I've Wasted My Childhood

I've wasted my childhood concerning myself with Bionicle. Transformers is so much cooler than anything Bionicle could ever be, IMO. Not that I have anything against Bionicle, I love it really, but why didn't I ever get into Transformers?   And by the way, yes, the Transformers movie rocks hardcore. Best movie I've seen in a few years, really. All I can say is that everyone should see this film.   But I got into the theathre for free, without using my free ticket from Sunday. This time, a sec

I'm Out'a Here...

Geez, these past few days have been a bit intense...   So there's these bands called As Cities Burn and underoath, who both rock so extremely hard core, that are going to be in Atlanta on the 28 of June. However, they are playing at different times, and at different places, so we had to decide which one to go to. I've basically been the one setting up everything, trying to get a bus from church and a driver. We decided to go to the underoath one, as As Cities Burn is going to be back in ATL by

I'm Only A Man

New Emery album will be released on October 2nd! This record will kick plenty of boo-tay.   "Why don't you say that to my SHANK!"   <3 Emery.   I need some good suggestions for an image hosting site, because I'm not to faithful in majhost.com anymore. Flickr maybe? Photobucket? What say you? And all your friends?

I'm Content With Losing

So the midterm ended last week, and teachers are starting to get their grades ready to be turned in to be sent out to all the parents who eagerly await to see how their child is progressing in school. Normally, my parents would just take a quick glance over mind and expect to see all "As", but it's changed this time around.   Although, it is partially my fault. I mean, if I had just taken the time to write down a few more notes in Chemistry class, I wouldn't have gotten a 10 on the quiz grade h

I Need Your Knowledge Of The Internet!

So I have to write an 3-5 page essay due for English Comp 1 on extended definitions that is due in under 12 hours. At first I was going to define "geek/nerd" but I soon realized that those words probably wouldn't last for the required number of pages. So I need your help, internet users! Give me some words or terms that you think should be defined. After brainstorming for a few minutes, I came up with these:   - Noob/newb   - leet   I need probably 2-3 more words to define. I know you kids he

I Need Your Help

So I read a letter our Senior sponsor sent out this week and it said that we have to take our Senior portraits before August 10th because of yearbook deadlines (we get our books the last week of school, instead of the following Fall.) I'll be gone August 2-8, so I'd like to take my pics before I go so I don't have to worry about them when I get back. Nevertheless, I've decided that I'm going to cut my hair to try and get the best pictures. However, I don't know how I want to cut my hair. This is

I Need Some Techno Music

Alright guys,   I'm looking for some good ambient techno/remix albums. I like progressive metalcore, etc. and Bring Me the Horizon's Suicide Season Cut up! is a perfect example of what I like.   I also need some techno music (a la Daft Punk) that I can play while I study/relax.   If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

I Have Better Friends Than You

Camping trips are so much fun.   "I hate duuuucks!"   "GOO! Duck!"   "SHUT UP I'M TRYING TO SLEEP!"   "Go turn off the fire!"   "Watch out for the man-eating frogs."   I wish I could take some of you camping with us. I nearly died laughing approximately 5 times this past weekend.
