So I just got the new Black Mages album (their third one), and I am very impressed with this piece of work. I believe this is their best album yet.

Cuz for one, no one is hiring.
I spent most of the day job searching. Cruised all over Holyoke Mall in Holyoke and Memorial Drive in Chicopee.
No one was hiring. Sure I got applications, but that is nothing. Why? Because as soon as I got one, they immediately said that they are not hiring at the moment.
And that sucks.
And the thing is, I don't wanna work for a union, nor work at a restaurant or fast food, so yes that would cut my searches down pretty big.
And what is interesting
Today is a special day for lucky people. I am a lucky guy in general, so today will be extra lucky for me.
Dunno what to do on such a lucky day. Maybe I'll drive to Boston and take some pics of the common.

So today Me4aghan and I drove down to Providence, Rhode Island to hangout with our friends Lara, Scott, Peter, Harris, and Phil. We went to the mall, Providence Place, which is slightly large. Walked for a bit and then had lunch, and went over to D&B, which is a sports bar with an arcade. Scott and I played a few rounds of 8-Ball and 9-Ball while eveyrone else went off to do their thing. So Saturday I went down to Hartford for ConnectiCon 2007. Arrived early in the morning to beat rush hour AND to claim a parking spot at the convention center.
I wore my custom pirate cosplay, and despite it being layers of black, I was not sweating in it (especially when we went outside for a good period of time to take pics).

So I had a great weekend, but awesome as well. Spent it with Meaghan of course, who lives in Weymouth, MA (south of Boston).
Friday we had plans to go see Harry Potter. She is a huge fan, but I am just mildly humored by the series. Movie was pretty good, and we enjoyed it. Apparently Rush Hour 3 was good, as the many people pouring out of the theater said it was great.
Saturday was the Cosplay Beach Gathering, which was held at Revere Beach. I had the simple swimsuit variation of Balthier.
Well I was hanging out with friends all day today (or should I say yesterday). Went swimming and had lunch and dinner.
After that we wanted to see a movie. Anna wanted to see The Pulse at a late night showing. But, the theater didn't HAVE one.
So instead we rented Doom (which has The Rock, hence the entry title), cuz David and I have not seen it, and I was curious since I so loved the game(s), and I can't say it is the best movie ever, but it was really awesome.

So I am looking at the Guest List for Otakon, and only 2 people have caught my eye.
One is Steve Blum. He is known in anime for doing deep voices and such, however in Final Fantasy, he does the voice for Vincent Valentine in Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus.
Another guest is Hitoshi Sakimoto. He is well known for composing the music for Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant story, and Final Fantasy XII.
I'll be making sure to pay these guys a visit and get my game and soundtracks signed.
So I finally signed up for the fall semester here at HCC.
I am retaking English 102 because I dropped out of it last semester.

Last Sunday, my best buddy and former roomie Phil graduated from the New England Institute of Art with a degree in Radio & TV Broadcasting. My favorite film has been remade.
The film is Infernal Affairs, a Hong Kong film that came out in 2002 in Asia. It was brought over in 2004 with Miramax presenting it. (with english dubs).
However cuz the movie was so brilliant and amazing (won 23 awards and had 18 nominations), Martin Scorsese decided to remake this film with American actors, and renamed it The Departed, and comes out this October. It is also set in one of my fave places to be: Boston.

MGS4 soundtrack doesn't have a few tracks that were in the game.
Such as the remixed Mantis Hymn which is heard when fighting Screaming Mantis (referring to Psycho Mantis) the remix of Rex's Lair which was heard during the return to Shadow Moses, and the caution music for Middle East (had that nice guitar sound to it).
