Just wanted to say that I'm going to try to post some tips and tricks for the BZPRPG soon. If you have any tips or tricks you'd like in it, feel free to post them below.

Remember, it's an RPG, not APG, or my self-coined term, Avatar-Playing Game. What do I mean by that?

Well, to put it simply:

Your character is not, should not, and will hopefully never be an extension of yourself, who you'd like to be. And if they are, it's best to head over to your profiles and either delete them, or edit them-heavily. If a char has the perfect personality (the dream one you wish you had), leads their best friends into epic adventures and/or battles without getting scratched (as you'd like not to be), has the best strategy ever and the friends to help out with it (like you want), super-awesome powers AND equipment AND fighting skillz...

You are in danger of APing.

That may be an extreme case, but if you realize you are starting to help out your characters and their goals even when doing so is completely ridiculous (as in, having random Le-Matoran pull out their EPIC SWORDS OF DOOM and cut down the Nui-Rama who just invaded without batting an eyelash), feeling hurt when someone else hurts/injures your char, and/or realize you like your char's personality more than your own, then congrats. You just realized you've been APing, and now, you can do something about it.

Good tip, DB. I'll make sure to include that one, and, Raz, I'm afraid that's techniclly not a tip. Or a trick. :P

Mangai asked me for any more examples I could think of, so here goes:

First off, by making a character based on yourself, you will inevitably start thinking of them as yourself. And of course, you'll start thinking that other people's character represent them, and if your characters aren't in agreement...

Let's just say that that happened to me in War Zone, about the time when my character was going to war with anothers. It... Wasn't fun.

The best way to avoid it, or keep that from continuing to happen, I have found, is to step back, and use another character for a bit.

Good tip, Zarayna. I'll make sure to post it in the Profiles part.

Also, I'll try to post the Profiles Tips and Tricks first when ever I get the chance. Probably tomorrow.

Make profiles with info that's going to be relevant in the RPG and no more; I'll put the example of appearance. Don't put exact height in the profiles for your chars, for example, unless you really, REALLY feel as though you have to; remember, most races in Bionicle have all their races as the same height, anyways. Put enough info in appearance to describe a char as well as you'd like to see a decent artist would draw/paint/whatever preferred method they use, or more info if you really want to. It helps people to have a decent picture of your char mentally during RPing, especially when two chars are meeting each other. No one needs to know that the color of your char's tongue is purple, or something, unless if the said tongue is a SUPERTONGUE or otherwise relevant to RPing.

That's a good tip, DB. I should have the Tips and Tricks up once Kughii will come back. I have to ask him for help on a certain part of the Profiles part of this T and T.
