One last entry before my departure:

My little brother is fast becoming an elasmo-freak. He's checked out every piece of shark-related media from the library, and as a result, my brain is crammed with everything I ever (and never) wanted to know about sharks. One of those "everythings" are these things called Ampullae of Lorenzini.

Now to me, these sound like an ancient curse that would be unleashed upon some unlucky adventurers (Ohnoes! The Ampullae of Lorenzini! *ampullae chittering* Run for your lives! AAAAH! *thud* AAAAAH! The ellipses! AAAAH! OMG! like, AAAAH! *gurgle* oogh...), but in reality they are sensing organs found on sharks, rays and chimeras. Yet another example of the alternate possiblity being preferable to reality. Oh well.
