Today I came home and found in my room four bookmarks, a photo, and two identical notes (I think that was a mistake).

Apparently a month or so ago when I visited T.A. Barron's site and did some quiz thing there I got everything correct.

Now I have a huge color print of the map of events in The Merlin Effect (which I own) plus bookmarks of four other books by T.A. Barron. And the photo was autographed, which is pretty cool.

I mean, the form did after all ask for my address, but I never expected to get anything like that oO

He's definitely one of my favorite authors though. Not nearly as prolific as some of the other people I read, but very good. I've read... Heartlight, The Ancient One, Tree Girl, The Merlin Effect, all 7 (there were seven, right?) books in the Lost Years of Merlin (or were there four?), and... then the first two books in The Great Tree of Avalon, is that it? I'm waiting for the library to get the third one.

Speaking of reading I'm currently reading Catch-22 (not the easiest of books to understand). And recently I read Boy2Girl by Terrence Blacker, one of the most entertaining books I've ever read. It's very frank and to the point, really not sidestepping the more "embarrassing" topics that most other books would sort of sneak around.

Treats life like it is, and I respect that.

...and oh shoot, the online library thing won't let me renew. It says it's because of overdue fines, and claims I owe $9.50! I RETURNED the Good Earth weeks ago! And the other books are only 4 days overdue, but I can't renew them.

ERGH.

My mom's so gonna make me pay that overdue bill...

Gonna have to renew Catch-22 as soon as I'm allowed to. Barely halfway through that book.

Oh yeah, my AC entry is THAT close to completion. Watch for it sometime today.
