Spring Is In The Air!

I nearly fell flat on my face and/or bottom approximately ten times today.

There was apparently a huge thaw yesterday which resulted in a layer of water coating many surfaces, which resulted, at night, when the temperature is below freezing, in ice.

Ice that is almost invisible.

And on the snow that is still left, there is also a coating on top of, guess what? Ice.

And what looks like a solid puddle of ice on the grass that you can joyously slide across is not, in fact, a solid puddle of ice. It's a thin layer of ice over water and mud.

What snow there is left has thawed so much by the end of the day that it's essentially slush and you can clean you shoes off in it.

Winter is great, except for the colds.

Spring is great, except for the allergies.

In between absolutely sucks.

I guess you can't go between two enjoyable eras without some confusion in between.

... I'm amazed by my capacity to draw a life lesson from almost anything.

Sometimes, you know, it's not that easy.

Your lucky. Where I am, it's freezing has heck (that would be an oximoron). Good thing I'm on vacation in the sun! Huzzah! No school!

When'd I say anything about summer.

I was discussing the time between winter and spring where the ground is all mud from melting snow and the huge variations in temperature result in colds, ice, and slush.
