Yes and no. I use Jala, Puku, etc. when referring to them pre-2003, and Jaller, Pewku, etc. otherwise.

At my old school, we NEVER used Jaller, Macku, Hewkii or Pewku.

 

(I kinda like the new spellings. Although Jaller doesn't make phonetic sense, I think in general the new spellings are more interesting.)
