A Drawing I Did

More of a doodle, though the shading and stuff took a while. The black coat-part doesn't look that good, because the pencil I was using doesn't color even. (And I know the cravat/hands suck). It was how I killed an hour in class, when I had nothing to do.

Alucard-1

Alucard-2

I couldn't fit the entire drawing into a picture, but the duster he's wearing basically trails off and has a bunch of blank eyes in it.

It's not very good, but eh, I was bored.

Oh yeah, you draw that Vampire like a boss XD

Seriously though, it looks pretty cool.

The proportions are a little off though. The left shoulder (from his perspective) should be smaller and the top of the hat as well so it rest on the head, no around it.

The upper body is a bit long compared to what we can see of the legs, but that's ok, the original is a little out of proportion at times as well. It's a stylistic device ^^

And the Hands could use some work, but that will come with practice.

All in all you did a great job!

Aside from what everyone else mentioned, the arms (at least, his left one) seem awkwardly fat to me. Even if Alucard is muscular.

But 'tis very pretty. :3

Aargh. I still can't find a site to watch this on that my filter doesn't block. :(

Which is really hard since it's rated 'R'.

Looks pretty good! He's leaning a little far to the right, but I like the style.

In real life, he doesn't seem to be leaning as much in the picture. I think it had more to do with how it was oriented when I snapped a shot of it (I own no scanners). I noticed that at the start and compared, and found it somewhat odd that it came out so lean-y on the computer.

I'll keep that in mind about the proportions, odds are, I'll try drawing this again at some point. XP

As for the legs, I didn't finish them. I just drew the legs and had them fade off because I couldn't get the full length looking right to me, and because I couldn't get the right length on the paper anyway. (Although I doubt I'd have gotten the proportions realistic by just freehanding it, though I'd go for long/thin as that seems the predominant style he's drawn in -- and it's generally the style I prefer =P).

I had them a bit thinner at one point, but (at least in the irl version), it looked a little awkward so I made the clothing more baggy to make up for it. (Although, it was hard to imply what size the other arm is, as it's sort of covered by his torso by the perspective)

If your parents filtered the show, I'd suggest following the filter or just asking them if it's okay. Admittedly though, the show got me more interested in learning WWII history in class (even though I already had an interest in that era anyway), and it made me want to look up the legends of Vlad the Impaler and the fictional legends of Van Helsing and some other vampire tales from the 17th century. (Though, there is a lot of blood, gore, violence, and the antagonists could be somewhat controversial from an individual's standpoint, which is why I can see it being filtered).
