I'm Commander Shepard, And This Is The Best News I've Received About Mass Effect 3

Rumors have been sparked about where Commander Shepard might be making an appearance. According to publisher EA’s extranet, Mass Effect 3 will not only be making its way back to the PS3, Xbox360, and PC, but will also be on an undisclosed next generation system as well.

With the only next generation system currently announced, one would have to imagine this could only reference the Wii U. Also, that’s the only console that EA Games label manager Frank Gibeau commented on, so it’s not like he’s hiding it very well. In reference to the game making its way to the next generation Nintendo console, Frank stated, “I can’t say we are going to do it on the Wii U, but you can imagine what we could do with that controller in the Mass Effect universe. It feels like a really nice fit, but we’ll announce that when the time is right.” Not exactly a strong denial.

Perhaps this is Nintendo’s shot to shrug off that “casual” game stereotype and get themselves some big guns. Then again, maybe they’ll make the guns in the game shoot rainbows. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Now of course this is still going to need confirmation on a number of things about the Wii U before true celebration(Price, whether or not multiple screened controllers can be used - and I know at E3 they couldn't, but that was a prototype, not a final model, or at least I think it was - if it's coming out before or very soon after ME3, etc.), but given I was already considering buying a Wii U early-on, granted eventually, with how cheap they're getting, I'll probably still buy an old 360 refurb, and all three games on there so I can go through all three games with a single playthrough, this would make me oh so happy.

Nah, I'm betting either the PSVita or maybe Mac. I highly doubt it'd be Wii U, but it is quite possible. I just can't imagine what use the second screen could be for, other than maybe a map or inventory system.
