Interests
Hm... let's see if I can figure out my interests right. I happen to like Bionicle quite a bit, as well as Lego (from 2 to now, I've had bricks my whole life).
I very much like Music, including the following: Pink Floyd, Metallica, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Godsmack, Disturbed, Guns N' Roses, Eagles, Audioslave, Rage Against The Machine, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, The Smashing Pumpkins, Alice In Chains, Billy Joel, Beatles, Crossfade, Foo Fighters, Incubus, Jethro Tull, Linkin Park, Nickelback, Offspring, Queen, Puddle of Mudd, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Staind, Stone Temple Pilots, Styx, Sublime, Tenacious D, Third Eye Blind, Tomorrow's Child and Twitch Galvy, Velvet Revolver, and finally Weezer, The Who, The Guess Who and Shinedown. *WHEW!*
I'm a pretty big Halo fan, having written about two characters I've made up on my own, and played online with friends with both PC Regular Edition and Custom Edition, and made movies using various programs to do so.
I'm also a very proud Graphics Artist and Video Director, having done a few productions with friends for various reasons. I'm capable of sitting down, writing a script, making a screenplay, and visually creating it for actors and actresses. My Graphic Art is seen almost every time you look at something I've made either in a Signature or Avatar. I rarely use something I didn't either make or edit myself.

Or maybe we already did? That's all I'll say.

Nah, I doubt that's him. Even if it is, it's been almost 17 years, I doubt he'd want to be bothered by a dozen people talking about Bionicle now.

I can't believe it's been this long. MakutaFest started in 2010 as a side project established by The TTV Channel (then The Three Virtues podcast) and the BS01 Podcast (then the... BS01 Podcast. We kinda suck at naming stuff xD). Does anybody remember the first livestream? I don't. Literally cannot remember it happened, or that it was even a thing until 2011 rolled around. But I honestly cannot imagine what life would have been like during 2010-2016 without MakutaFest. I'm not going to say we influenced the return of BIONICLE (we didn't) or that we kept the fanbase alive (it'd live on without MF) but, personally for myself, BIONICLE would not be the same without MakutaFest. It's what keeps me excited for everything. With that said, this will be our finale. Our last blast, as it were. Why? Times change, we keep moving forward, and in order to do that we need to say goodbye in a proper venue. For me, that is MakutaFest. For others, they may have already come to terms, and wish to reminisce with the good ol' times of G1, or reflect on what was and could have been in G2. For even more others, they may still be looking for closure, and I do believe MF is the closure we all might be seeking. So please, feel free to join us on Aug. 19th. It won't cost a dime to attend, it just requires you to go check out TTV's YouTube channel and watch the livestream. Couldn't be simpler. ... Also we're giving away one of BS01's artbooks. Should I have started with that? More info here.

Coordinating a Bionicle area... First time for anything, right?
Swert posted a blog entry in blogs_blog_703
So I've been placed in charge of coordinating a (rather small-ish?) table area for a Lego art and play event in Tacoma, WA. I've already begun planning how it will form together, but the fun part still comes in that I need to build about 7-10 new items that go towards it being awesome, including a new display case for my masks. In other news, if you happen to hear from the TTV Brickfeed podcast I was on, I actually left my job of six years recently. This is one of the contributing factors in letting me get a chance to plan such an area in the first place (otherwise I'd be planning -everything else- at that event.) With that said, it's going to be an interesting ride to see what I can pull off design-wise. I'll try to post photos when I get it set up, if anybody's interested -

Whew, editing videos can be challenging some days. I posted not but BS01 Podcast Interview episodes on our YouTube channel. I have to say, I came up with a very useful format that's very easy to edit and publish, but eventually I'm going to have to find a way to make it even faster. Also the fact I have a 40 minute video to edit next will likely notKill me I also finally got my ticket for BrickCon 2016 (YAAAY I'M GOING THIS YEAR!) and I'm going full-force this time. I don't know what I will do officially, but maybe I'll bring my new Nuva Cube? That'll be fun. Also I have a new Nuva Cube. It lights up. It's also tiled on the surface. You're welcome, Kayru! Otherwise, it's been chaotic the past few weeks (boss went on vacation in Europe, I had to handle the entire shop, practically by myself. Not much fun.) and now I'm looking forward to just catching up. Sooo yeah, that's that. Cheers, all.

Today is Father's Day in America. *throws desk* FIGHT ME, BRO! But no srsly yes to all of this.

Go for Onua. That or Kopaka. Tahu's nice and all but I feel everybody does a Fire character (even if we never have standalone)

Hey all, So BS01 and The TTV Podcast will once again bring you MakutaFest 2016. But before we proceed, we need to ask a major question: Where should we host it this year? The pros and cons of each selection are many, but it boils down to how you guys want to do it. If we end up on YouTube, we'll have to forgo a few of the previous years' giveaway options (in form of trivia) since it'll be nearly impossible to keep track of the chat otherwise. We'd also have to move to a secondary page for chat via forums in order to moderate chat. On Twitch, these can be easily moderated on the fly, but we risk gaining random twitch followers who want to come in and spam links. The main pro for that system is it's what we used last year, so many of our regulars are already signed up for it. If we get a mass majority selecting one or the other, we'll most likely go with that one. So yeah, go forth fans, let's decide this!
-
... So I might be going. Depends on funding and/or events leading up to the show. ... So what should I build in celebration of my return from a 2 year exile? XD
-
Can confirm, Stuart Sayger does still discuss and bring BIONICLE comics to his booths. I was very lucky to meet both him and Carlos D'Anda the same day, got two comics signed, one each. We then got this photo two days later, he picked up this comic (which is actually my favorite cover) for the photo. I also got a Green Lantern print from him
-
Oh easy, first you gain an audience, then abuse the power having an audience. Which is why I'll never get an audience.
-
It has been about 10 years since I last had semi-permeant access to a decent video editing software. I cannot believe how much I missed doing videos until I opened the BS01 YT channel. So now that I have this power, I promise not to abuse it. Much. ... I should make that BS01 trailer I've always wanted TTV Podcast to make for me : O

I have to say, I am super proud of SPIRIT for getting us hooked up with Volta and the voice actors. Seriously, SPI does not get enough credit from us, and I want to fix that now. Basically, praise SPI. He earned it. ... Also go listen to our interviews.
-
In this episode, SPIRIT interviews Paolo Bryant, the voice of Pohatu in Bionicle: The Journey to One. Click to go to the Episode! We've got more coming up, so we'll try to keep these going out for awhile. We may end up being able to start doing these weekly.
