There's a story coming up on Australia's 60 Minutes about a crime wave in the Gold Coast that the police are powerless to stop. This is VERY CLOSE to where my friend from my Taming A Street Teenager entries lives, and could very well be the same crime wave he was caught in!

 

Needless to say, I'll be watching the story with interest this Sunday, and might mention some things here from the story later.

It aired last night, but there wasn't really much to report. It appeared to not relate to my friend's gang wars. :( Plus, it appears they didn't upload the video to their site.

 

It did state, however, that the Gold Coast had, on average, an armed robbery every 2 days! Plus, the reason the police couldn't stop it is because they are ill-equipped with the latest technology, and they don't even have police helicopters!

 

Things had better change there come 2018 when the Commonwealth Games come there!
