Happy New Year!

Hello, BZPers again. I am just dropping on in to wish you all a Happy New Year among with my reflections of 2011 and my expectations of 2012. I am going to try and keep this short though since I am sure you all have much better things to do than listen to me drone on about how my year went and what I am expecting myself to do next year. Of course, I am sure this is going end up long as nothing I write for this blog is ever a couple of sentences, so apologizes in advance if it is too long for your taste.

Alright, let's get this start already. This year was to say least quite eventful for me, especially considering long BZPower downtime, we had, force me to explore outside of my niche (Admittedly I did not do that much exploring as I did not replace BZPower with other forums and mainly just end up spending my time on a certain video hosting site, but you get what I mean.).

Really I could probably go on and on about the things that I did this year, but I would just end up writing a huge wall of text that most of you would skim and well, I do not blame you. So instead of a wall of text, I am going to write what I was thankful for this year and what I was not thankful for this year.

I am thankful for:

- Still having a job in these difficult times

- Still having a good GPA at my college

- BZPower for returning

- Still being in relative good health

- Nintendo releasing Skyward Sword this year and for giving, those that brought the 3DS before the price drop, free games

- My family for their support and love

I am not thankful for:

- The amount of disasters that happen this year

- People, like my best friend, still having trouble finding a job

- Being told I need to take an extra semester because the class, I need, to graduate is not available next semester

- Losing my motivation to write fan fiction

- Making leaving the basement such a mess for so long

- Procrastinating too much on my English class assignments

- Not sticking to my plan of buying a LEGO set to review once a month

- Failing to get back in the swing of reviewing stories on BZPower

Overall though, I would say that 2011 was a good year for me. Yes, it had its downsides to it, but nothing was too extreme that I could downright hate this year. So then, what would be my expectations of 2012 for me? Well, it is hard to say to be honest. I mean I could say a lot of things that I would like to do, but realistically I doubt I will be able to do half the stuff, I would list here. Still though, here is what I would do in the year 2012:

- Clean up the basement

- Organize my LEGO bricks some more

- Use my bookshelf for its intended purpose; holding my college textbooks, Bionicle books, other books, and DVD collections

- Beat Skyward Sword

- Start Pokemon Black finally (It still in its case since I brought it at release)

- Look through some old toys and stuff and assign them to be trash or donate

- Try to review a LEGO set once a month

- Make a work station for building for LEGO Projects

-Try my hand at making my own LEGO Mosaics

- Buy more awesome Ninjago sets (I just got the Ice Dragon set yesterday. It is awesome.)

- Review stories on BZPower more often

- Get my associate degree by the end of the year

- Go to BrickFair for the first time

Well, that's most of my goals for 2012 at this point. I personally think the most unrealistic one of happening has got to be attending BrickFair as well, it is pipe dream that I have since I learned of BrickFair existence from BZPower so many years ago that I have time and time again, never seen come true. Beside that, knowing myself, I probably would not have a lot of fun there as my social skills stink and I probably be afraid to talk to every person I meet.

*shrugs* However I do think it would interesting to go though as I never get to travel much outside my home state of Pennsylvania, so it would be nice to get to explore another state for a change and maybe see some historical sites, if I do not want to spend my whole day at the con. And financially at this point, I think I could actually afford the trip because I will be pretty much done all my college payments by then.

But anyway, I am wrapped this up now by saying, Happy New Year, BZPower and I hope you all have good new year. That's all I have to say, so talk to later, BZPers.
