Steam

Hey, BZPers. I am just popping in again. This time to talk about Steam since I spent most of my day today playing a game on there.

That game was Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which I got recently from a trade that my sister arrange with someone for my DOTA 2 survey thing. I must say it is a fun game and I am liking it so far. My only complaint about the game really is the combat as it forces to stand in one place to perform an action, which can be kind of annoying when you notice your health is low and you try to back out of your commands, so you can run away.

Oh, and there is also the fact that the game crashed when I got to the Undercity, so I kind annoyed by that. Although admittedly I kind was happy that it did crash as I had wanted to take a break from it. Not only that, but I also able to notice that Portal 2 was on sale again, so end up buying it among with Plants vs Zombies, Cthulhu Saves the World, and Breath of Death VII.

I would not be surprise though if Portal 2 does crash on me since I know my graphics card is not very great for gaming unfortunately. That and if an old game like Knights of the Old Republic can crash on me, I have my doubts a new game like Portal 2 will do much better. Plus, Portal 1 crash on me when I beat the game! So yeah, my computer here does not have good reputation for running computer games.

Then again, I guess I should not be really worrying about that now because Portal 2 is still downloading since I start it a little bit over an hour ago. Plus, I am not even going to be playing it when it finish since I want to go shut down my computer and unplug everything, so I can clean it and my desk.

Oh, and before I forgot, thanks to Takuma Nuva for giving a copy of Bastion; which dude, you really did not need to give me, but thanks. I would be downloading it now, but I do not want Portal 2 downloading any slower than it is now, so it is going to have to wait till later. But again though, thanks for the gift, Takuma Nuva.

Well, that's pretty much is all I got to say today. So thanks for taken the time to read this and I hope you all have a good day.

You probably could've gotten more for DOTA2, some people go really crazy over it.

Bastion is a really good game, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

KotOR is one of my all-time favorite games, hands down. That said, here's a couple pointers. First, I wouldn't take the crashes for this game into consideration too much. My gaming laptop has way more than enough to handle this game but it still crashes on occassion. Not sure why though. All I can really say is, learn to quick-save very, very often. Like, I quick-save every time I finish a battle, complete an objective, or travel a long distance. The game only autosaves when you enter a different area if 1) you've never been there before or 2) the last auto-save was more than 15 minutes ago IIRC. Also, if you want to back out of combat, you don't need to clear your queued actions first. Just start moving and it'll cancel them for you.

Other than that, all I have left to say is that, compared to the rest of the game, Taris is a low-point. Once you get off-planet the game soars. (pun not intended)

Plants vs Zombies, you can't go wrong. It's no wonder the game is as popular as it is. And the two Zeboyd JRPGs are some of the most hilarious things I've played; I love 'em.

As for Bastion, yes, I did have to get it for you, because I have a guilt complex and wouldn't be able to sleep at night otherwise. :fear:

The DOTA2 beta. Yeah, you could have probably traded for a $50 title even without too much searching. I know I want one really bad, but I can't see myself paying for it when we don't even know if it'll be F2P or if getting beta access gives you full access if it's a "purchase" game.

*shrugs* I was willing to trade it to Shine for coupons, so the fact that I could of gotten more does not really bother me since all I wanted was to get it out of my inventory as I had no plans of using it.

Plus, I wasn't the one that trade it anyway. My sister arrange the trade with the person. I am actually surprise though that she didn't try to get more for it, especially considering she wanted Skyrim. Although then again, her laptop probably couldn't handle playing Skyrim, I imagine. Still though, I would of thought she would have gotten something for herself too.

Yeah, from the gameplay I seen of it, it looks great and I can't wait to start play it when I have the time, which unfortunately right now I don't.

@KotOR: Yeah, I kind figure out that saving thing after dying a few times, so I have been saving regularly whenever I enter a new area or see a person with an actual name. Still thanks for telling me. As for the combat tip, I did not know that, so thanks.

Really? Well, then I can't wait to get off planet then, if what you say about Taris being the low point of the game is true.

@Plants vs Zombies: Yeah, I was watching a few people let play it and it look like it was pretty fun strategy game, so I thought I give it a try. Plus, it was on sale.

@Zeboyd JRPGs: Again, I saw some gameplay videos of one of them and well, it look like a fun and hilarious game, so I decided to buy it. That and it was a really good price (I think it was about a dollar or so, which is an awesome deal; especially considering you get two games for it.).

@Bastion: Hm...I see your point. I am sorry for making you feel guilty.

@DOTA2: See my reply above.
