Skyrim Adventure, Part 15: In Which I Break Into Prison

I returned to Whiterun to do another old quest. An old lady, part of the Gray-Mane family, asked me to meet her. She and her son told me the Legion took her son and that the Thalmor were holding him. I searched the rival family's house and found proof of it. When I presented the proof, they asked me if they should come with some help; I said I would handle it.

I fast-traveled to the nearest location and ended up fighting a Dragon. After a few deaths I beat it.

After an uneventful journey, I arrived at Northwatch keep; the guards weren't going to just let me walk in. So I fought them.

Unfortunately, I was greatly outnumbered and died. Next time, I summoned a Frost Atronach and we managed to prevail. I'm really lovin' this thing.

Once inside, I find Elf combat to be a lot more manageable when I'm not being ganged up on.

I freed him and we went our separate ways.

Next I decided to do the quest for the cannibal woman, and clear out Draugr in Reachcliff cave.

On my way there I came across a bear. Now that I'm higher leveled I can actually beat them without much difficulty, which is nice.

I met her at the cave and told her to wait outside. Inside, I found myself going up against much tougher types of Draugr than what I've encountered before. With a bit of difficulty, I made it to the last room. The final Draugr was a difficult battle. On my second try he got stuck, which allowed me to blast him with magic from afar.

I told the cannibal it was clear, and she asked me to bring someone as a sacrifice. I didn't really want to, but the completionist in me did anyway. I brought him to the temple where she did a Jedi Mind Trick on him; I killed him and feasted. Apparently the goddess they worship is actually a Daedric Prince (wouldn't that make her a Princess?), and she gave me a ring.

I've decided to search for my drinking buddy, lest I accidentally skip even more of the quest.

Have you used the Oghma Infinium yet? If not, you should make a separate shenanigans save were you use a certain level-boosting technique involving the previously mentioned book, break the game with your amazing forged and enchanted items and your potions and then have fun killing stuff.

It's important, however, that you haven't used it and don't use it, at least not in the intended fashion

Never heard of it.

But since I'm on PC I could easily edit my skills with the console if I really wanted to, no need to use an exploit.

I'm tellin' ya Haz, conjuration is one of the best schools of magic. Once you have the summon dremora spell, you're pretty much unstoppable. The thrall spells are pretty sweet too since you can have a permanent summoned companion; two if you have the right perk.

Also, for the drinking quest, when talking to a woman, there's an option to skip her part of the quest with persuade, intimidate and bribe options. Don't do them. Just do what she asks. Trust me.

Oh sorry, I forgot you were on PC. Heck, I don't even know if it works on PC. For that matter it also might have been patched on 360.
