Final Fantasy Team

Spoony Bard

I figured to make an FF entry about what I mainly use for FF games. Big thing is what and who is in your party.

FF3:

Knight (Luneth), Dark Knight (Arc), Sage (Refia), Dragoon (Ingus)

Basically I had Luneth (started as Warrior) and Ingus (started as Monk) as my main tanks of the game, and Refia (started as White Mage) as my healer. Arc would be in the median of magic and physical. I had him mainly as my Red Mage and Geomancer and also a Viking.

FF4:

Edge (Ninja), Rosa, (White Mage), Kain (Dragoon), Rydia (Summoner/Black Mage), Cecil (Paladin)

Kain and Edge are my tanks, Rosa is my healer, Rydia is my magic dealer, and Cecil is both a tank and healer.

FF6:

Setzer (Gambler), Sabin (Monk), Shadow (Ninja), Celes (Rune Knight)

I am a god with Setzer's slots, so I keep him on my team. I also use him as a backup healer. Celes is my main healer. Sabin is my main tank. I keep his defense and strength high. Shadow is around for throwing items and other magic.

My secondary team in FF6 is:

Terra (Magitek Knight), Edgar (Machinist), Strago (Blue Mage), and Cyan (Samurai)

Terra as my healer. Edgar and Cyan are tanks. Strago deals out the magic.

The third team is gets iffy since it is leftovers:

Locke (Treasure Hunter), Relm (Pictomancer), Mog (Moogle), and Umaro (Yeti)

Locke and Umaro are my tanks. Umaro's berserk mode really deals out alot of damage for me. Relm and Mog are healers.

FF7:

Cloud (Warrior), Aerith (White Mage), and Cid (Dragoon) were my main team. Cloud and Cid were my main tanks, and Cid also dished some magic in between. Aerith was my healer.

However, when Aerith dies, I needed a new healer. So my team is now:

Cloud (Warrior), Vincent (Gunner), and Cid (Dragoon). Cloud and Cid are still my tanks. Vincent is my healer and also deals magic alongside Cid. I use Vincent's Limit Break as a last resort.

FF8:

Squall (Warrior), Rinoa (Black/White Mage), and Zell (Monk). Squall and Zell are my main tanks with Rinoa as my healer. I never used magic in this game, I stuck with items this time. Rinoa deals them out. I also have the Revive ability on Squall and the Restore ability on Zell.

FF9:

Zidane (Thief), Garnet (White Mage/Summoner), Vivi (Black Mage), and Steiner (Knight)

Zidane is really powerful, and so are his limits. He and Steiner are my main tanks. Steiner isvery handy with his Sword Magic ability, which is why Vivi is around. Now I have Vivi to deal out my black magic. Garnet is my healer.

FF10:

Tidus (Warrior), Yuna (White Mage/Summoner), Auron (Samurai)

I have Tidus and Auron as my tanks. I increased Tidus' strength by using Auron's grid, and Auron's speed by going through Tidus' grid. Yuna is my healer and black magic dealer. I also had Tidus go through Yuna's grid a bit to get the early white magic to use a backup.

Even though you can switch members in and out of battle, I use these 3 as my main team.

FF12:

In FF12, I have my 2 teams split into guys and girls.

Vaan is my healer and magic user. Balthier and Basch are my tanks. They all know white magic.

Ashe and Penelo are my tanks and Fran is magic dealer. They are all healers.

So yeah thats my team strategy. :P

So, in FF12, you can have only three party members?

On the field, yes. There is a fourth slot on the field for Guest. You can switch members out in the menu.
