We've been without running water since Saturday night here and have had to keep large buckets of water around for everything. It was kinda gross. Try washing your hands by holding a large pitcher in one hand and pouring it on the other, then switch and wash the other hand.

Oh, and make sure you have a lot of soap on your hands ahead of time so the handle is nice and slippery.

It's amazing how much you take running water for granted until you have to go three days without.
