I decided to do a quest for Falk Firebeard (WHAT A NAME) and clear out a cave. I fast traveled to the Meridia statue, which was the closest location, and ended up facing a Frost Dragon. Interestingly, a Frost Dragon spawned the last time I fast traveled here; it must be cursed!
As I continued to the cave, I witnessed a Thug murder the man I stole a horse for before. Apparently Maven Black-Briar ordered the hit. I hate Maven and felt bad for the guy, so I killed the Thug.
I made it to the cave and fought my way through some undead. I ended up in ruins and saw someone absorbing a lot of energy from the cave. I overheard what she was saying as I got closer; they're trying to reincarnate "The Wolf Queen." I wouldn't be having any of that, so I killed them all.
Next I decided to help a shady Argonian rob a ship by putting out the lighthouse fire. I headed to the grounded ship to get my share of the loot.
SUPRISE SUPRISE it was a double cross.
I fought my way through the mercs to escape and headed to their base of operations: a nearby grotto. I fought through more mercs and killed the Argonian. Sweet, sweet revenge.
As I was making my rounds at the shops offloading loot, a courier delivered a letter to me; Falk needed more help. The Wolf Queen's spirit had been released, and I needed to stop her before she took over her body. I headed into the catacombs beneath Solitude and slaughtered every Draugr and Vampire in my path.
I made it to the final room where her spirit was absorbing energy. Cue another WAVE-BASED ZOMBIE HORDE MODE. After killing them all, I fought and killed the Queen's spirit.
I returned to the palace victorious. The Jarl asked me to take one of her husband's belongings to a Shrine of Talos. Even though Talos worship was outlawed, her husband would've wanted it.
After placing it, I headed into a nearby cave. It was filled with Falmer. No big deal. Further into the caves I came across a new type of enemy, the Chaurus and Chaurus Reapers. The Reapers were surprisingly strong.
Deeper into the cave I found some old Dwemer ruins. In the room was a Falmer Shadowmaster who proved to be quite strong, and a Centurion. The Centurion appeared to be non-hostile to the Falmer. With a bit of difficulty I defeated them both and left the cave.
