We sometimes take a break from what we love. Only to come back to it with an even stronger interest.

Well, a lot of artists have been doing less BIONICLE fanart since the theme ended. It sort of makes sense-- while the sets and story from its nearly decade-long run are still around, no new sets or story means no new sources of inspiration. Even if you prefer the older years of BIONICLE, newer sets and story can inspire you to look at older material from a different perspective.

I also get frustrated at how little fanart I have been doing for the past several years. Of course, I felt the same way when BIONICLE was still running. But as long as you keep trying to draw things so that you don't fall out-of-practice while looking for new inspiration, you shouldn't have anything to worry about, because inspiration is a thing that never runs out and is always out there waiting to be found. At least that's my philosophy.
