Agreed, it was quite amazing (finished it yesterday). Especially the ending, my goodness. I've heard Mockingjay is even better, but I can't say as I've only read the first chapter so far.

Mockingjay's a love it or hate it thing, it seems. The general attitude I get is antipathy, but eh, I liked it.

I thought Catching Fire was the weakest of the three, but it was still pretty good. I'm definitely looking forward to its movie adaptation, because dat clock arena.

Oh god, I know. The arena is so much more intense in Catching Fire, and thanks to the astounding success of The Hunger Games in theaters, they'll definitely have the budget to pull it off.

Catching Fire is definitely the weakest of the three, but it's still a fine book. With the way they adapted the first book, I feel like a lot of the stuff that dragged down the second book will actually be able to express itself right in the movie.
