Oddly enough, I had also mocked up a similar spool design to see how well it'd work.

I found that one of these at a 45° angle looks better than the weird 5x3 trapezoidey piece, but the way I had it the connections were a bit strained.

I was thinking about doing an LDD mockup but never got around to it.

Also I thought of using this to connect the wrist wires in place, but I was basing my design off a Metru leg instead of HF shells.

Yeah, I went with the HF armor because it's what I've done best with so far.

Might try that thing, see if I can figure out a way to make it work.
